I can't take too much more of this "winning" Republicans still backing Trump judicial nominee with no trial experience; http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/360911-republicans-still-backing-trump-judicial-nominee-with-no-trial-experience "A young Department of Justice (DOJ) attorney is sailing through the confirmation process in the Senate for a lifetime seat as a federal district court judge in Alabama, despite the fact that he has no trial experience and has never filed a motion in court. Brett Talley, a 36-year-old deputy assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice, has become one of Trump’s most controversial judicial nominees. The American Bar Association gave him the rare “not qualified" rating two days before the Senate Judiciary Committee voted 11-9 along party lines to send his nomination to the floor for a vote. The New York Times reported on Monday that Talley failed to disclose to the committee that he’s married to the White House counsel’s chief of staff. Republicans are supporting him regardless." Brett Talley, Trump’s nominee for a lifetime appointment as a federal judge, despite having only three years of experience practicing law & never trying a case, didn’t disclose he’s married to the chief of staff to the White House counsel!

They don't care about competency. They just want to pack the courts with the most hard core and young conservatives that they can. If they are unqualified they don't care. That's how sick they have become. |

Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary. #MAGA #wallsnotwars | |

I'm doing better with this thread than the Republicans are doing in Alabama: Alabama election has GOP racing against the clock; http://thehill.com/policy/finance/361279-alabama-election-has-gop-racing-against-the-clock "Republicans are feeling the pressure to move quickly on tax legislation ahead of next month’s Senate election in Alabama. Senate Republicans already have little margin for error, as they can afford only two defections and still pass their tax-cut bill if Democrats are united against it. But that margin would fall to one vote if the Democrat in the Alabama race, Doug Jones, defeats GOP candidate Roy Moore on Dec. 12. Polls have suggested a Jones victory is a real possibility in the wake of sexual misconduct allegations against Moore. An Alabama election official on Friday said the winner of the race could be seated as early as Dec. 26, giving Republicans a short window for action." |

This nominee bailed out today, he's the third of Trumpy's nominees to do so: Trump judicial nominee withdraws after video of humiliating hearing goes viral; https://twitter.com/i/moments/942874243032760320 "Matthew Petersen, who failed to answer basic legal questions in an embarrassing clip featuring Republican Sen. John Kennedy, called the experience his "two worst minutes on television." He is the third nominee to withdraw after Republicans raised complaints about Trump's allegedly unqualified nominees." Three Trump judicial nominees stumble — with Republicans; http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/365175-three-trump-judicial-nominees-stumble-with-republicans "Controversy is swirling over the quality of candidates that President Trump is nominating to lifetime appointments on the federal courts. In the last week, the GOP chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee has pressed the White House to not proceed with two controversial candidates — including one who had never tried a case in court." |
