In June 2015, retired lieutenant general Michael Flynn took a little-noticed trip to Egypt and Israel, paid for by a U.S. company he was advising. The company hoped to build more than two dozen nuclear plants in the region in partnership with Russian interests. Flynn’s quiet involvement in that project — and his failure to disclose his ties to the effort — could complicate the legal issues facing President Trump’s former national security adviser, who has signaled he may be willing to cooperate with special counsel Robert S. Mueller III. Congressional Democrats say that Flynn may have violated federal law by failing to disclose the Middle Eastern trip in his security clearance renewal application in 2016. A top House Republican declined the Democrats’ request for a congressional inquiry but referred the allegations to the special counsel. Last month, Mueller revealed that his wide-ranging investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election has led to charges against three former Trump campaign officials. One of them, foreign policy adviser George Papadopoulos, has been cooperating, according to court filings. https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/michael-flynns-role-in-middle-eastern-nuclear-project-could-compound-legal-issues/2017/11/26/51ce7ec8-ce18-11e7-81bc-c55a220c8cbe_story.html?hpid=hp_hp-top-table-main_flynnsaudi-835am%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.06a110d6c035 |

So basically all the guys working in the Trump campaign, who have claimed little or not contact with Russians or Russian business interests, were all up to their necks in contacts with Russians and/or Russian business interests. And of course, this is all just a coincidence, nothing nefarious about all this. No, no. Not at all. |

Obviously, Papadopoulos knows a lot more than Trump is willing to give him credit for. I say this because Mueller found him helpful, otherwise, he would not have been allowed to plea bargain. Anyone Mueller allows to plea bargain assisted with giving information or confirmed what was already suspected in the largest most far-reaching political scandal in our nation's history. Mike Flynn is one of the key's to this scandal, and he knows a great deal about the dirty dealings of the Trump mafia. Flynn's also concerned Trump won't pardon him because if he did it would start the congressional impeachment process. Even Trump and his lunatic defenders can't lie -Tweet- or obstruct there way out of this scandal now because it's gotten too big, and it's too hot to handle, even for the GOP - who tried there best for months to cover it up. The Trump administration is corrupt, and the GOP is dysfunctional - what a surprise. Edited by 70-101, Nov 27 2017, 11:20 AM.

Knowing what is public knowledge at this point about Russian contacts, false statements etc. by over a dozen top members of the Trump team, one has to conclude that either we are looking at the most amazing series of coincidences in the history of the United States or that there has been some sort of on-going collusion with the Kremlin. The absurd defense that it is all "fake news" has been blown away by a hurricane of facts, leaving observers to wonder why Trump and his followers have issued such an outrageous lie. |

Remember when it was revealed that Richard Nixon believed that if the President did it, it couldn't be illegal? Well, I suspect that Donald Trump believes something similar, that if the President believes it, it can't be a lie. |

Flynn's contacts with the Pentagon will halt prosecution of him. No evidence for this bologna prophesy When did you guys fall off the turnip truck ? Pointless personal insult When was the last time a former General was prosecuted ? Are you referring to Johannes Blaskowitz? What happened to Joe McCarthy may happen to Mueller. McCarthy was a Senator, not a DoJ investigatort More mindless trolling by someone who should know better and actually does. Boring |

The prospect of an American court convicting a retired American General is mind boggling....Benedict Arnold comes to mind had he been arrested...But Flynn never sold the designs of our nuclear arsenal to the Russians....You deny a "Deep State" that runs our country...............

Let's not forget about how Flynn got caught up and investigated....A FISA warrant based on a certain dossier....The FBI hasn't denied that yet.... If the warrant was obtained from a judge using false information....Anything collected after becomes not admissible.... :oyvey Edited by The Inquisitor, Nov 27 2017, 11:27 PM.

In the event that allegations from a dossier are ruled inadmissible, any statements made by Flynn in the false belief that the dossier would destroy him in court are still admissible in court and a deal, if any, made with the prosecutors remains in force. The police have the right to lie to a suspect to trick a confession or a deal if it comes to that. Sounds funny, but that's the way the law is written. |
