In a series of interviews over two weeks, the woman shared a dramatic story about an alleged sexual relationship with Moore in 1992 that led to an abortion when she was 15. During the interviews, she repeatedly pressed Post reporters to give their opinions on the effects that her claims could have on Moore's candidacy if she went public. The Post did not publish an article based on her unsubstantiated account. When Post reporters confronted her with inconsistencies in her story and an Internet posting that raised doubts about her motivations, she insisted that she was not working with any organization that targets journalists. |

This is what separates the blog-o-sphere "news" sites and real media. Real media investigates its sources. It looks for collaboration to back up a source's story. It does not just publish articles without having a solid basis in facts and multiple sources. Project Veritis bought into Trump's lies on the MSM and thought it could pull one over on real journalists. It got exposed itself. |

They print what the Deep State wants them to print. Why would they trust some random woman off the street? |

This ^^^ is a paranoid ideological statement without the slightest factual support. I'll gladly retract my statement if you can show that there is something more than a mere notion about a "deep state" as a pejorative synonym for career federal employees and that this "deep state" has expressed a preference which the WaPo is consciously following as editorial policy... [I didn't think you have any such evidence] The concerted and coordinated effort to discredit Moore's accusers is standard counter-propaganda. Similar lies, exaggerations and implications are on threads all over this forum. They aren't going anywhere. Their only effect is to prop up wavering conservatives. |

I’m only saying that this is the narrative, and this story does not contradict that narrative. Why would the media run with a goofy year book signature that looks phony but show severe scrutiny with this woman? I don’t have evidence any which way, but I don’t see how this story helps the anti-Moore side. |

The 'media' didn't run with the goofy year book signature, Gloria Allred did. Your lack of grasp of facts is staggering. |
