Trump vowed to end the ‘war on Christmas.’ Here’s how the White House is decorated this season.

I have to wonder if Trump would really be Jesus' first pick to defend his birth day.

The Christmas story is sketchy. One gospel omits it entirely. There was no edict by Caesar requiring people to register for taxation. We have lots of detail about Roman administration. No such edict was passed. People were not taxed at their place of birth, they were taxed where they lived. We have records from contemporary Judea, nothing like this occurred. The three versions of the story contain numerous inconsistencies and contradictions. The whole story is a myth fabricated over a century after the events are alleged to have taken place. No wise men, no star, no shepherds and no Baby Jesus. Merry Christmas to all you believers.

If religious believers restricted themselves to believing only those things that should be shown to be true and that were based on substantial evidence, there would be no such thing as religion.

The "Christmas Tree" also dates back to pre-Christian Pagan Druidic rituals regarding the Fir Tree in Germanic areas.

It ^^^ sure does. The problem isn't the tree, it's the name. Christmas is about Christ. Christmas is a profound Christian holy day, second only to Easter in its significance. It is a source of joy for millions of kids and their families. It is great. But it is a religious event and should not have a place in government activities etc.

Is Christmas a religious holiday? If so, the government should stand aside rather than establish Christian tradition and ritual as official US government acts and policies. Of course, Judge Moore believes that the First Amendment guarantees only apply to Christians and that Christian practices are part of the government itself.
This confusion will be cleared up by Trump's new supreme court..............
