As I posted in the conservative board, this guy was no real cop. He signed up with high hopes for an opportunity of killing someone for the joy of it. Training protocol was not followed at all. The suspect was giving conflicting information throughout the ordeal. I hope somebody find this former cop or his family members and take them out.

What do the cop’s family members have to do with this?
Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

One of my best friends is a Marine paratrooper who had tours in Somalia and Afghanistan, retired now, and I showed him this Sunday at halftime of the game--- -- was so mad he cried when he saw this - first thing he said " That jury was bought .....wtf.....?" And after a minute of reflecting he said if that f-n pussy- was one of 'my guys', I'd go out there and take him out myself."

This ex-cops days are numbered it's safe to say. Most cops are not like this and don't deserve the bad image they already have, so you can rest assured this video is very embarrassing to them .

And where is the FBI ? That's my first question. Actually my first question is why do pest control technicians need guns for shooting birds ?

How in the hell did that guy not get sent to prison? Just one more case of police officers not following proper procedure and one more reason why I think police in this country need to be held to the standard that we hold our military to when they are in a peaceful nation. No firing until fired upon.

It takes longer to train to be an electrician, machine operator, a plumber or HVAC tech than it does to
be a cop.

Sorry Demo...."No firing until fired upon." doesn't cut the mustard....I agree with all your posts regarding poor training....But by the time someone fires....you

could be already dead....I relate it to a soldier....trigger happy is not good....but if you had a choice....what would you do.

Police training is virtually non-existent because we are putting young inexperienced cadets or officers out into a real world scenario without an older more experienced partner...

A split second could mean life or death....

I believe the answer is to un-retire some of the older forced out retired cops to accompany new junior officers .

Each State boasts about the amount of police put into service....but never attests to the quality

Guy I went to high school with is in the LAPD. He tells me that the only difference between the criminals and 80% of cops ... is the badge. Pretty sorry state of affairs.

I have to agree with Wilmy on this. It will only go downhill. Had there been any efforts to make the corrections, it would have happened decades ago.

I am open to suggestions but the police must be held to a higher standard than the populace. They are suppose to be trained and they are supposed to be able to analyze the situation better than the regular populace. If they can not meet that standard then something has to be done to limit their ability to kill indiscriminately and off the top of my head a hard rule of engagement is the only one that comes to mind.

The particular case we are talking about here we had more than one police officer with weapons drawn. Please explain to me why one of them could not have approached the guy and put him in cuffs while the other one covered him.

If the police can not clean up their act then they need to be reigned in. Period.

In other words, we're in a police state. A mild one on the surface, but it could go full-blown with one phone call.

The problem in this case has to do more with attitude than training. His pose in the picture with full gear speaks volume on the type of person he is. This former cop's intent was to kill for the thrill. Arrest and peaceful outcome were not on his agenda. The victim probably knew his life would end during the confrontation. I hope someone puts a bullet in his head.

That's what he's probably expecting, but I'd rather know that he's rotting away in prison. (hell)

I'd like too now how this ass got through training without someone spotting a character flaw....

Renegade cops have been a problem for a long time....but as the environment cops work in becomes more dangerous....

I have no simple suggestion for such a complex problem....

All I know is this ass should never have been wearing a badge....with a gun....
