One Mueller-Investigation Coincidence Too Many

Stacking the deck with anti-Trump staffers is proving to be a really bad idea. Special prosecutors, investigators, and counsels are usually a bad idea. They are admissions that constitutionally mandated institutions don’t work — and can be rescued only by supposed superhuman moralists, who are without the innate biases inherent in human nature.

Oh, speaking for myself at least, I fully expect that Trump will eventually fire Mueller. He's far too stupid and arrogant not to. He thinks this will make the problem go away.

It won't. It will just seal the perception for everyone who isn't a die hard Trump supporter that the man is guilty of collusion with the Russians in an effort to steal the election. Whether or not he succeeded, isn't the important point. The point is that he worked with a foreign government to be elected President. And no one is going to forgive or forget.

If Republicans manage to control of the Congress, not much may come of this. For now.

But no one is going to forgive or forget. And Republicans should keep that in mind.

Coming from you, Major Conspiracy, I take that as a compliment. If you think I'm out of touch with reality, that just reassures me that I'm more in touch with it than you are.

Why would we want to be in touch with the majority of America? If you take a look at the majority of the red states, they're behind California in pretty much every meaningful category. And yet, rather than wanting to be more like California, they want to drag California down to being more like them.

Sounds like they're crabs in a bucket to me.
