People are giving black women the credit for defeating Roy Moore; https://twitter.com/i/moments/940872729154260992 "Early exit polls published by The Washington Post showed that 98% of black women voted for the Democratic candidate Doug Jones in the Alabama Senate special election. Precise voting data isn't yet available but many are crediting black people, especially black women, with the defeat of Republican Roy Moore in a traditionally red state." |

I am surprised and disappointed by this, because black women should know better what sexual misconduct is than some honky snowflakes who have a man write in their high school yearbook............ :oyvey |

If moderate Republicans heed the line of the far right they will only continue to lose elections. Trumpy and the Alt-Right only make up 30% of the overall electorate so their staying power politically will be very limited going forward, especially if the current administration continues to fail to pass anything significant in the way of legislation, which thus far they have not! |

Republicans are getting tired of all the Trumpian Kool-Aid fueled silly shyte: Republicans, fearing midterm disaster, seek course correction; http://thehill.com/homenews/senate/366229-republicans-fearing-midterm-disaster-seek-course-correction "A growing number of Republicans say a course correction is needed to prevent their party from losing the House, Senate or both chambers given strong political headwinds that one veteran lawmaker likened to a political “hurricane.” GOP calls to work more with Democrats next year are becoming more common as Republicans look for ways to win over swing voters. “One thing you can say about this year is that it was pretty partisan,” Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) told reporters on Friday at a year-end press conference. “We’re going to be looking for areas of bipartisan agreement because that’s way the Senate is.” |

Roy Moore Blames “Thousands of Black, Muslim and Latino Voters” for His Loss to Doug Jones; http://hinterlandgazette.com/2017/12/roy-moore-blames-thousands-black-muslim-latino-voters-loss-doug-jones.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+HinterlandGazette+%28The+Hinterland+Gazette%29 "Sore loser Roy Moore blames “thousands of black, Muslim and Latino voters” for his loss to Democrat Doug Jones in the Alabama Senate race. In other words, he blames people of color for actually exercising their right to vote for his loss. Moore posted a link from extremist website WorldNetDaily which claims “Muslims and Marxists delivered for Doug Jones.” The article claims, “if Alabama’s Muslim and Marxist communities had not rallied thousands of black, Latino and Muslim voters behind Doug Jones, President Trump would be sitting on a safer Senate majority today.” While the article doesn’t accuse anyone of wrongdoing, it’s in keeping with Moore’s despicable anti-Muslim, anti-black and anti-Latino rhetoric. He previously said Muslims should not hold public office. Moore also lashed out at Jones’ gay son, Carson Jones, by sharing an article from The Advocate, in an attempt to demonize him. He later deleted the post without comment, but it’s widely known that Moore harbors virulent anti-gay views. Roy Moore has yet to concede the election to Doug Jones. He’s a sore loser, like Atlanta mayoral candidate Mary Norwood, who recently conceded to Keisha Lance Bottoms, nearly two weeks after the election." |
