I read most of the material provided and am somewhat in agreement that Timerman, or even Fernandez, should NOT be placed in a jail cell. There simply is no evidence, ....yet. If this judge really has a case against Timerman or Fernandez, he should divulge what the evidence is, and make his case in the court of public opinion. But, ...but, did Iran do it? In 1994? Yup, little question. Argentina should be embarrassed that no one was brought to justice.

So, like, what happened? The Israeli's handed out 'justice' a long time ago.

Quote:

..."In an interview with Agencia Judía de Noticias — or AJN, a Spanish-language Jewish news agency — Yitzhak Aviran, Israel’s ambassador to Argentina from 1993-2000, revealed that many of those involved in the attack had been targeted by Israel.

“The large majority of those responsible are no longer of this world, and we did it ourselves,” an AFP report quoted Aviran as saying.

Aviran castigated the Argentinian leadership, and claimed little had been done to bring to justice the Iranian authorizers and planners of the 1994 attack, or of a 1992 bombing of the Israeli Embassy in the Argentinean capital, in which 29 people were killed.

“We still need an answer [from the Argentine government] on what happened,” he said. “We know who the perpetrators of the embassy bombing were, and they did it a second time.”

https://www.timesofisrael.com/iranian-bombers-in-amia-attack-were-taken-out-by-israel/

The Israeli's killed em, one by one, just like they hunted down the killers of the 1972 Olympic massacre in Munich. Mossad knows what it's doing, nowhere to run to, nowhere to hide. They'll find you. There was justice in this case, (ahem...) so, ....they should leave Timerman alone.

It reminds me of the hunt for Nazi's in South America after WWII. A great song from Al Stewart:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsZMMbCb7Ug

Before the phone hits the receiver
You're halfway to the door
The voice said 'get out while you can,
There's just 1O minutes, nothing more'
Time only for the essentials
Better gather them and run
The false name inside the passport,
The gold bars and the gun
And once again they've come out of the past
And though your mind is cool your heart is beating fast
You've been through it all before
Each time you wish a little more that you could ask
"What do you want from me?
What do you need from me?
There's no rest for the running man
Why can't you let him be?'
It's a long and twisting journey
From the sweeping northern plains
To the outcrops of the jungle
Bowed beneath the tropic rains
In the customs hall the officer
Takes you to one side
And his eyes reveal no feeling
As you hand over the bribe
And once again you've bought a little time
And once again you're fading out of sight
Still the fox is growing older
As he calls over his shoulder to the night:
"What do you want from me?
What do you need from me?
There's no rest for the running man
Why can't you let him be?"
Here, come over here
Beneath a sympathetic moon
We'll sit and talk over old times without a fear
Another beer, from the cafes of the night
The tumbling rhythms of guitars ring loud and clear
One by one they've nailed the others
But you always got away
What it is that keeps you just that step ahead
No one can say
In one last raid the agents
Of the dawn break down the door
Of a house where you were standing
Maybe just an hour before
And still the thread continues to unwind
You take the hidden roads that only you can find
And should they come upon your tracks
There's just a question hanging back you left behind
"What do you want from me?
What do you need from me?
No rest for the running man
Why can't you let him be?"
"What do you want from me?
What do you need from me?

1994. Argentina.

Imad Mughniyeh was one of the most wanted men in the world by both Mossad and the CIA. He was personally responsible for the most Americans killed by a terrorist, right behind Osama bin Laden. He was Number 2 on the list. The Israeli's wanted him badly as well.

1) In 1994 he was the man responsible for the killing of 85 people, mostly Jews, at the AMIA building in Argentina in 1994.
2) He directed the 1983 truck bombing in Beirut which killed over 300 (mostly) US Marines and French soldiers.
3) The United States indicted Mughniyeh for 14 June 1985 hijacking of TWA Flight 847, which resulted in the death of U.S. Navy diver Robert Stethem. Mughniyeh and his men allegedly beat Stethem for hours, before killing him and dumping his body onto the tarmac.
4) Mughniyeh was involved in numerous kidnappings of Westerners in Beirut during the 1980s, most notably the kidnapping of Terry Anderson, Terry Waite, and William Francis Buckley, who was the CIA station chief in Beirut.
5) U.S. and Israeli officials have also alleged that Mugniyah was involved in the Khobar Towers bombing in 1996, which killed 19 Americans.

This coming Monday, February 12th, will be the 10th anniversary of his death by a joint effort of CIA and Mossad. He was killed in Damascus in 2008 by a bomb planted "in the headrest" of his Mitsubishi Pajero. It was grisly, to say the least. It's a shame it took so long.

Cristina Kirchner is Now One Step Away From Heading to Trial in the AMIA Cover up Case

So, now the botox Queen may meet her demise over the AMIA case. Interesting.

It kinda reminds me as to how the Swiss reacted to the Nazi's during the Second World War. They shut-down their borders, closed their eyes and, like the Argentinians under the Kirchner's, became a conduit to a despicable regime. Not our problem. Nazi's and Hezbollah,

Should they continue to persecute the botox Queen over this? I dunno. It appears, at least to my eyes, that Tillerman stepped-in and allowed Timerman a visa for his cancer treatments. That's good. But, there is nothing here for the former members of the Kirchner's to be proud of. They played footsie with the Iranians and covered-up an act of terror on their soil all over commerce, money. No different than the WWII Swiss.

And, according to your Bubble (which is not bad considering your usual left-wing postings of drivel, .... :) ) Timerman was knee-deep in covering-up Iran's involvement in that bombing. Again, justice was served here by the Israeli's, but it will never bring back to life those who were killed on that day.

Quote:

These arrests took place after the indictment issued to former president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner. Because of her current position as national senator, Bonadio has asked for her immunity from arrest to be rescinded by the Senate.

Bonadio is in charge of the complaint filed by late AMIA prosecutor Alberto Nisman in 2015 against Fernández de Kirchner and others in her government who had a role in the signing of a MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with Iran which called for judicial cooperation to investigate the 1994 bombing that claimed the lives of 85 people.

Nisman accused the then-government of using the MOU as a front to whitewash Iranian responsibility for the bombing. Bonadio has brought charges of treason, participating in a cover-up and obstructing the acts of a public official against the defendants.

In the immediate aftermath of Nisman’s complaint, Timerman was one of the loudest Kirchnerite voices proclaiming the legality of the MOU. Like his Kirchnerite counterparts, Timerman has contested the accusations against him every step of the way. Yesterday, he found out the case will be taken to trial, following a request by Federal Prosecutor Eduardo Taiano.

This thread is the continuation of this other. Besides:

Ex-Interpol chief says ready to testify for Argentina's Fernandez
Quote:

BUENOS AIRES (Reuters) - Argentina’s previous government never asked Interpol to drop arrest warrants against a group of Iranians accused of bombing a Jewish center, the ex-head of the police agency said on Wednesday, as the government proceeded with treason charges against the former president.

Former Interpol chief Ronald Noble said in an email on Wednesday that he wants to testify that the government of former President Cristina Fernandez did not ask to have the arrest warrants lifted as part of a “memorandum” she had with Iran.
Interpol...?

Interpol...?

They lost all kinds of credibility by hiring "third world" thugs as their CEO's

Believe it or not, but THIS clown was once head of Interpol...

But, there is nothing here for the former members of the Kirchner's to be proud of. They played footsie with the Iranians and covered-up an act of terror on their soil all over commerce, money.
During years and years, Néstor and Cristina Kirchner demanded to Iran the surrending of the suspects, at the UN and every international forum. Iran didn't answer. Because it coudn't: the Iranian Constitution doesn't permit extradition. As the Argentine penal law doesn't admit trial in absentia, the case was at a judiciary dead point.

So, Cristina and Timerman searched for an agreement with Iran, which stated two things:

1) Argentine officers were to travel to Iran, for taking declaration to the suspects.
2) A commision, made by notorious, independent jurists, were to revise the AMIA bombing, giving non-binding advices.

And that is all. The agreement never took place, because the Iranian Parlament didn't ratify it. Juridically, it never existed.

All the rest (commerce, money, Interpol Red Notices) are falsehoods and besides, they never happened. Again, that is why the first judge overseeing this case, Daniel Rafecas, said: "simply, there is not a case for the Argentine penal law".

You don't like Cristina and Timerman talking with Iran? OK: that is your political opinion about Cristina's and Timerman's political stance. But putting them to trial under penal law because it, that is political persecution and lawfare.

W A Mozart

And, according to your Bubble (which is not bad considering your usual left-wing postings of drivel, .... :) ) Timerman was knee-deep in covering-up Iran's involvement in that bombing.
Then, perhaps The Bubble is not left-wing but pro-Macri, no? Besides, it only reports the delirious, rigged charges against Timerman. You tell me how the agreement that never was from above can be "treason" or "obstruction to Justice" or "cover up".

Well, ...yes, ...yes I do, perhaps even more so.....

The Nazi's weren't willing to take their own lives for their cause. Only Hitler and Goebbels died by suicide when it became apparent that the city of Berlin was surrounded by the Russians. Goering ran to the Austrian Alps. Himmler was caught near the Danish border. Most of the concentration camp leaders headed for 'Sud Tirol' and then South America. There they all stood, at the Nurnberg docket, one-by-one, the 'brave' Nazi leadership. It didn't help, they hung most of em anyway.

The Iranian leadership, and a large percentage of their followers, WOULD die for their cause. No question. Give a jihaddi a briefcase filled with nuclear fissible material, and he/she would gladly walk down the Champs Elysees and pull the switch. More people dead in an instant than the entire 1939 invasion of Poland.

So, yes, the Iranian regime is probably MORE dangerous than the Nazi's....
