Your insurance rates are still going to increase. What do you call every year under ObamaCare? Dramatic Increase? "What insurance do you suggest for the millions of people now covered by the ACA if it ends?" Don't care. What did they do before ObamaCare? They'll be fine. |

<----- don't care...how we view the lesser of our society is telling of our national character, they also weren't fine....my hospital was filled constantly with those using my ER for their healthcare, in one site, they ran thru their charity care in one month for the whole year funding. |

The ACA had very little effect on rates. They have been rising at a fairly constant pace for 20 years. ![]() The problem is not "Obamacare". It's that our healthcare system is inefficient, drug manufacturers, insurance companies, and some other service providers are price gouging. Costs are increasing faster than wages and general inflation. Edited by nNeo, Dec 21 2017, 10:02 PM.

Has nothing to do with "who" rules and more to do with having the motivation to strive to move on up. The Jeffersons taught all of us that lesson. Fish don't fry in the kitchen; Beans don't burn on the grill. Took a whole lotta tryin' Just to get up that hill. Now we're up in the big leagues Gettin' our turn at bat. As long as we live, it's you and me baby There ain't nothin wrong with that. Takes a whole lotta tryin', Homer. |

The question is, what did they do between 1776 and ACA? I do know and expect from my car insurance to increase always too. |

Get government out. That is the problem. The government should not be in healthcare. Period. |

Bull. It has to do with large corporations being able (prior to the ACA) to get better rates than individuals or small businesses. That's not accidental. The system was designed in the Nixon era to maintain the power of the elite. "Work for us if you want to live". Reread your own quote. You see, yet don't see. |

A bigger problem as I see it is that because of our fine health care that our life spans have lengthened to the point that while our bodies are intact while our organs are failing which is placing about 60% of us in long term care facilities at about 5k to 7k per month. Medicaid will cover than after we cough up our SS contributions or self pay instead. |

Then why is the private, for-profit system in the US less economically efficient than the government run systems used by most other developed counties? And where is the profit in our system coming from? Your blind faith is not factually supportable. |

A problem best addressed through better screening and enforcement, not by giving up. That's a bit like saying "we shouldn't have banks, because someone might rob them". Most independent estimates put waste and fraud in the 2-3% range. Not good, but far from crippling to the programs. |

The ACA wasn't a socialist program...and our country has socialist healthcare programs already in place...the US military and their dependents being a huge beneficiary. |

You're confused, as usual. We have some government regulation, but insurance companies, doctors, hospitals, drug manufacturers, nurses, etc are private, for-profit for the most part. What would "free market" mean in this context? |
