Both Bruce Ohr and Nellie Ohr are attached to the origin of the Christopher Steele Russian Dossier. Release #5 was the specific communication between FBI Agent Strzok and FBI Attorney Page. The 10,000 text messages that included evidence of them both meeting with Asst. FBI Director Andrew McCabe to discuss the “insurance policy” against candidate Donald Trump in August of 2016. |

The Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael E. Horowitz, is investigating the texts as part of a wide-ranging inquiry into how the F.B.I. handled its investigations into Mrs. Clinton’s personal email server and of the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia. |

Strzok and Page’s email exchanges also contained unflattering messages about Hillary, but that fact is never brought up by the right. Meaning: Its more likely Strzok and Page were just tired of Washington politics in general then they were out to sink Trump's presidency. What I see going on here with the GOP, is the old shell game - now you see it, now you don't. Its gotten so bad for Trump and the GOP they've re-enlisted the services of discredited Rep. Devin Nunes. Who's already recused himself from all things Trump-Russia - but, suddenly, he's now running a partisan closed-door committee that's calling all the shots. Not in investigating Trump mind you, but in protecting him. Like in convincing, or should I say pressuring, the DoJ to reopen it's Uranium One investigation again - an investigation that's already been discredited by our intelligence communities with regard to Hillary's involvement - even by FOXNews. But the right-wing needs talking points in its defense of all things Trump, otherwise they risk losing the 2018 mid-terms and the 2010 general election - they feel. So, when you can't legislate, you investigate. Especially when the president of your party, members of his family, and previous members of his administration are in legal jeopardy. Especially when a special counsel is knocking on doors and asking inconvenient questions. Yup, the old GOP shell game is back again. |

I picture that scene in Walking Tall when Dwayne Johnson walks into the sheriff station and says “you are all fired!”

"Unflattering" OMG!!! The unflattering sentiments toward either candidates are irrelevant. What are relevant are the exchanges in which they describe a proposed 'insurance policy' in 'Andy's office' to prevent Trump from being elected.
Flattering or not...Clearly the pair was in the tank for Clinton. So your "maybe they're just tired of Washington politics" is a pretty lame excuse. "In other messages, the couple shared pro-Clinton views. Strzok told Page in March, "God Hillary should win 100,000,000-0." Strzok then praised Clinton's nomination in July: "Congrats on a woman nominated for President in a major party! About damn time!" https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/justice-dept-releases-text-messages-anti-trump-fbi-agent-lawyer-n829061
You should pay more attention. Nunez didn't recuse himself. The claim that he did, is just an attempt on the part of Democrats to disrupt the inquiry. “I believe it is in the best interests of the House Intelligence Committee and the Congress for me to have Representative Mike Conaway, with assistance from Representatives Trey Gowdy and Tom Rooney, temporarily take charge of the Committee’s Russia investigation while the House Ethics Committee looks into this matter,” his statement said. “I will continue to fulfill all my other responsibilities as Committee Chairman, and I am requesting to speak to the Ethics Committee at the earliest possible opportunity in order to expedite the dismissal of these false claims.” http://beta.latimes.com/politics/la-pol-ca-nunes-recuse-or-not-20170602-htmlstory.html
You said something earlier about a shell game? Look at you.... moving the goal posts. This is not about Uranium One.
How is that any different from the left wing and their own talking points?
Ok...first of all, Not MY party. I'm perfectly willing to let the Russia investigations run their course, and if it brings Trump down....so be it. You on the other hand seem to want to pick and choose your investigations and judge the validity of them by party line. |
