The AT&T logo and communication equipment is shown on a building in downtown Los Angeles, on October 29, 2014. The telecommunications giant said it was making “workforce adjustments” and plans to lay off and fire more than a thousand workers starting early next year, according to local reports.

"The telecommunications giant told the Chicago Tribune in a statement that the most of the affected workers are from its landline and other legacy service sectors, but the company did not say how many workers total would still be employed in 2018."

Gee, why lay off landline employees? Such a big business these days...

"No. No he won't. We'll stop it."

While this may be true, one would think that with AT& T being one of the richest companies in the world , they could diversify and create more jobs instead of enabling the CEO's and shareholders buy more mansions and yachts.

Or unregulated capitalism.
What form of regulation do suggest to keep unneeded workers from being laid off? How would that work?

If you'd like to understand the rise and fall of capitalism, I suggest reading Professor Richard Wolff's books.

Guess that's why they're still one of the top 20 largest companies in the world.

I understand capitalism quite well, better than you I suspect. Would you like do dodge some more or answer my question?

In the bigger picture it is too late for regulations to recover a shift in wealth of $40 trillion .
Want to start there ?

No, I want you to stop dodging and support your statement, or concede that you can't.

Innovation. Get rid of their antiquated DSL or bring the speed in par with Comcast. Otherwise DSL is the new typewriter or Kodak moment.
Kate Steinle was separated from her family permanently but leftists didn't seem to mind.

That's not dodging.
It's my answer to your trick question that can't be answered.

Under Reagan the antitrust laws and tax codes were rigged to favor the rich, and since then it's only gotten worse. And by the time Bush was elected in 2000, the revolving door between Washington and Wall Street was completely unlocked. What few remaining regulations since Clinton repealed Glass Steagall basically amount to the foxes guarding all the hen houses.

The Federal Reserve's boy Tim Geithner was appointed the Treasury Secretary under Bush and Obama. If that doesn't give you some clue about who is running the show, nothing will.
