Market forces.
Or unregulated capitalism. It started under Reagan and Clinton.
You've admitted that you can't support this. Repeating it doesn't make it relevant.

Socialism is not the cure for unregulated capitalism. Democracy is.
Okay, then let's try it with that. How would democracy prevent these unneeded workers from being laid off? Please stick to the topic, not broad, vague generalizations.

First of all , I don't bend to controlling people like you who like to manipulate the discussions and then
frame the narratives according to their views, okay ?

So if you're defending capitalism, then let's hear your explanation of why it has failed . Or why you think it is better than socialism aka -'democracy'( ...which worked very well after the New Deal until Reaganomics and deregulation systematically dismantled it )

I haven't framed anything according to my own view. I'm asking you to backup your own posts, which you haven't.
You can't defend either statement, got it. Thanks.

Spends 3 pages railing against capitalism, while dodging a simple question about his own post, then complains about "negative b.s." gg

Capitalism was regulated by the New Deal.

The corporations and the wealthiest have been trying to dismantle the New Deal ever since.

And now that the top 1/10th % own more wealth than the bottom 90%, it looks like they succeeded.

Now it's payday for the top 20 % ( the ones employed by the top 1 % ) at the expense of the poor and what little remains of the middle class.)

With these new tax cuts, the number of millionaires will rise parallel with the number of homeless people in the USA now,
most likely.

Oh Ok. I don't disagree with that.

But Clinton, Bush and Obama presided over the dismantling of our middle class and the greatest transfer of wealth to the top .1% the world has ever seen.

Trump is changing that. Which is why the establishment has worked so hard to take him down.

They are failing.

You're kidding. Trump is accelerating it, doubling down on failed policies and stacking his cabinet and federal agencies with corporate insiders.

BUYER BEWARE:

"The indicators of lethal speculation must be viewed as early warnings, and not useful for more precise timing. At major tops over history, extreme readings were first registered as early as 6-8 months before a final top. An example was 1987.

And in virtually every case, canary, core, toxic or lethal divergences were present at the final high. As you can see below, speculation is currently at lethal extremes, and building. But the serious divergences are still missing. If the speculation reaches sufficient extremes, then even a Level 1 Toxic Divergence may be enough to trigger a decline.

As previously discussed, lethal speculation is the setup for a severe decline. And divergences are the trigger.

Speculative Extremes Now Being Seen:

1) Rydex Asset Ratio: The most extreme optimism in history, going back to 1999. This is an especially useful indicator, as it incorporates both bullish and bearish bets, as well as cash, into the same equation. And the results are calculated daily.

2) Leveraged Funds: Bull to Bear Ratio. We are at historic highs. This shows a rush to buy high-risk assets, a clear sign of dangerous speculation.

3) Excessive Household Exposure to Stocks: The pattern is very similar to the 1968 and 2000 tops, with March 2000 only slightly higher.

4) Institutional Cash is Historically Low: This is largely the result of low rates and over-abundant liquidity. As rates go up from here, the low cash will become a problem. A potential issue for 2018.

5) Conference Board Stocks Survey: (net positive minus negative views). We are approaching the Lethal Speculation seen at 1998, 2000, and 2004 Tops.

6) University of Michigan Stocks Survey: (Percentage of consumers who expect positive one-year returns). The Highest Optimism in the Survey’s 15-year history

7) Hedge Fund Exposure: We are approaching the Lethal Extremes of the 2007 Top.

8) Investor’s Intelligence Survey: We are approaching the extremes last seen before the 1987 top.

Well, I imagine that these laid off workers really appreciate the $1000 bonus they're receiving thanks to Trump tax "reform" package.

That might pay their bills for a couple of weeks. Thanks Trump!

The middle class started dying in the 70's. It was escalated in the 80's with Reagan's war on labor. The Right has continued attacking labor protections and consequently the middle class since. Yes, Clinton and Obama did not do enough to stop those attacks at the state level.
