Can an honest leftist answer this?
If say, Mississippi refused to honor gay marriage license, leftists demand to lock up that person and withhold federal aid. But if states refused to comply with immigration law, leftists claim states' right.

Because the ruling class wants gay marriage and cheap labor

Last I heard, the governor takes an oath to defend this country against domestic and foreign enemies before taking office.

That's a pretty broad charge and a bad comparison.
While immigration laws come from the federal government, which has the sole authority to grant visas, green cards and citizenship, states also have laws that create rules for certain state activities related to immigration. Typically these state laws are related to employment, education, licensing, and state benefits.
So what specifically are you commenting on?

You do remember what happened to that city clerk, forgot the state, Kansas, who refused to issue gay marriage license right. Jerry Brown should be behind bars for betraying this country.

You said federal law. State the law. I’m not playing games with you tonight. Illegal immigration is an invasion; those who shelter or profit from these criminal intruders are as morally bankrupt and treasonous as the Vichy collaboraters or the Czech Communist Party following the Soviet occupation.

Two laws, gay marriage and immigration, are federal laws.
Why enforce one but not the other?
