Looks like Trump has taken yet another detour from reason: Scarborough: Trump in 'meltdown mode' over indictments; http://thehill.com/homenews/media/374432-scarborough-trump-in-meltdown-mode-over-indictments "MSNBC's Joe Scarborough said President Trump is in "meltdown mode" on Sunday after special counsel Robert Mueller brought charges against 13 Russian nationals who allegedly interfered in the 2016 U.S. elections. "Someone, anyone close to the president needs to take his phone away this morning. He is in meltdown mode over the Russian indictments," Scarborough tweeted. "Him freaking out and spinning wildly makes him look more desperate by the tweet. Lawyers, I’m serious. Take. The. Phone."

What does a 20 year old case or law have to do with anything? A slave law, yes they are still of record, was use by my son recently to prove a liability point. Trump should have and probably does have the smartest legal team on the planet. Old saying is...he who has the best lawyers, wins. OJ proved that many years ago. "All the kings horses and all the kings men' (i.e. the lawyers) can't keep old Trump from becoming unhinged again: Opinion | Trump's unhinged Russia tweetstorm boomerangs back on Republicans http://wapo.st/2odt5ef?tid=ss_tw&utm_term=.ebb340c02532 "Now that special counsel Robert S. Mueller III has laid out a startlingly detailed plot by Russian nationals to influence the election, which included multiple “operations” that included “supporting” Trump’s presidential candidacy and “disparaging” his opponent’s, it presents an occasion to revisit a series of episodes in 2016 that still remain poorly understood....In the light of Mueller’s new indictment, we should revisit this. Before, we didn’t really have any idea just how extensive a case for Russian meddling was presented to GOP lawmakers. But now we have a much clearer sense of just how elaborate the Russian scheme really was — and a much clearer sense of the degree to which it was aimed at tipping the election to Trump. Indeed, the Mueller indictment doesn’t touch the role of WikiLeaks and the cybertheft aimed at top Democrats, which suggests that it only scratches the surface of what is known. All this makes it more likely that a credible, detailed case was presented to GOP lawmakers in those meetings — not just of the scope of the Russian plot but also that its aim was to help install Trump in the White House, as part of a “strategic effort to sow discord in the U.S. political system,” as the indictment puts it. And so, Trump’s new spin in the face of the indictment — that it reveals Obama’s failure to act in the face of the threat — also invites more scrutiny of their conduct in the face of that threat." |
