9th Grade Students Gain the Attention of Scientists After Their Experiment Reveals a Dark Truth About WiFi Curious about the shared experience, the group of girls designed an experiment to investigate the impact of wi-fi radiation on living cells. Specifically, they chose to use cress seeds. Taking 400 seeds, they separated them out across 12 different trays. Six of the trays were placed in each of 2 rooms. Both rooms were kept at the same temperature, and both sets of trays were given the same amount of water and access to sunlight throughout the experiment. The one difference between the two rooms, creating the basis for their experiment, is that the trays in one room were placed next to two Wi-Fi routers. The Wi-Fi routers broadcast the same type of radiation that can be observed coming from our cellphones, allowing the students to recreate the impact of sleeping with your phone on your bedside table, next to your head. The results? LINK |

Not surprised in the least. Some years ago a State Trooper had both his testicles removed because they were found to be cancerous. The cause was determined to be his radar gun that he kept on his lap while monitoring traffic speeds. |

That is pretty dramatic. I will have to try and repeat their experiment. I am a little suspect because I have seen something as simple as the location of an air conditioning vent completely invalidate an experiment like this. |

Cell phones and "WiFi" are on different frequencies. I am telling you this as a "WiFi" expert. |

Point? The article said same TYPE of radiation, not same frequency. |

Different Frequency. Different type of radiation. Also, transmit power and proximity are a significant factor. |

Read up on this a bit this morning; all I found was cell and wifi radiation are both radiofrequency radiation (radiowaves and microwaves) at the low-energy end of the electromagnetic spectrum. I am certainly open to being further educated on the subject. Robert, can you expand on your previous answer? Or send me somewhere that supports it? |

I guess I could do that. Do you want general information? Or more focused on this article (Dangers to humans). |

Think of good and bad Radiation this way. Just as certain frequencies of light (radiation) can cause harm, other frequencies of light are completely harmless. Sound frequencies, Very low (thump thump thump) and very ear piercing highs. Same thing for Radio frequencies. The Microwave band is used for communication, It is also used to boil water and heat food, humans are ~90% water (?). While other Radio frequencies are harmless. Bluetooth and 2.4Ghz b/g Wifi are in the microwave band. 5Ghz A band is harmless by comparison. this is all off the top of my head here. I can post links to pages of more in-depth information if you would like. Edited by Robertr2000, Feb 1 2018, 02:25 PM.
