Nunes is now saying he is going to release up to five more memos. I guess he didn't learn from the thud of the the first one. Can the Republican Party survive the humiliation of five more of these turkeys?
You claimed the same thing about the DNC Wikileak emails. Did you not learn then?

"...Ryan and company seem to be doing damage control. But if they truly believe that the memo won’t affect Mueller’s probe, they are badly mistaken."

And, "...the president believes the memo proves he’s the target of a “witch hunt.” And given the singular reach of his words, especially on the right, his version of events will be the correct one in the minds of millions. The avalanche of unreason is already well underway, it’s headed straight for Mueller and his team, and there’s nothing Ryan or Gowdy or anyone else on Capitol Hill can say to stop it."

Read the link that was supplied at the beginning of this thread. No humiliation, no thudding. Only a thread when pulled will unravel the entire garment. Come back on this in about 6 months when you have seen the bigger picture.

The discussion on the Sunday talk shows heightened one of the strangest aspects of the debate around the Nunes memo: Republicans actively playing down its impact.

What? It's not opinion, it's discussing R's running away from the memo like it's carrying the plague. Read your own link, genius, or better yet, have an adult explain it to you.

MSNBC guest suggests Nunez is a Russian agent.

"Is it possible that Nunez has been compromised by the Russians. Is there a Russian agent heading the House intelligence committee? :rotflmao:

BTW, Nunez was on FOX just now. He's not backing down a bit.

Interesting how in a matter of three days GOP leadership and media pundits were telling us the Nunes memo marked beginning of the end of the Mueller investigation and heads will roll at the FBI. To the memo has no bearing on the Muller investigation - what so ever and the FBI is our nations preeminent law enforcement agency.

It is. The Mueller investigation is done.
Keep dreaming. :shakeshead:
What do you think Mueller is waiting to uncover?

If he had anything of substance with regard to Trump/Russia/USElection, why is he waiting??? And why is he only going after "obstruction" ???

Basically the people who would have supported Trump firing Mueller for any reason or no reason whatsoever will support him now. Most everyone else sees the memo for exactly what it is, an attempt to give Trump political cover for what he's been planning on doing for some time.

And they're not fooled.

It took nearly 26 months to remove Nixon from office over Watergate. Russiagate, on the other hand, is a far more complex crime, actually a series of crimes, likely going back decades, that involves far more people then Watergate to include members of Trumps family. So it will likely take longer to investigate then Watergate did.

GOP obstruction and diversion isn't helping speed matters along either. Once Dem's take control of congress in early 2019 - Trumps days in office will be numbered. Where, after he's removed from office, he'll be very lucky not to be brought up on money laundering charges at the state level for running a Russian laundromat out of Trump Tower.

because it feeds into the narrative the GOP is obstruction justice - Trey Gowdy already knows this because he's a smart lawyer, and he wishes to leave congress with his legal credibility still in tact.

This is a good example of an Opinion article from a News outlet. In the future articles like this should correctly be placed in OpEd. With the post it is usually easy to tell because they try to point out when it is an oped. In addition, the address for this post starts with "www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan..." That whole "blogs/post-partisan" should really clue folks into the nature of the content.

At the top of the article it clearly declares itself as "opinion". So this one is not even a judgement call. It is clearly an OpEd.

Thanks for helping us clean up the news boards by keeping these types of content in their proper place.

The fake FISA crisis is unfolding as predicted. The GOP propaganda memo, hyped as "bigger than Watergate" has done a face plant. Next comes the Democratic counter-punch. Trump has taken to his usual childish name calling, referring to the leading member of the House Intel Com as "little Adam" while failing to rescue his stooges from the latest disaster. His corrupt ineptitude is wearing thin. The blue wave is growing bigger by the day while the GOP paddles out to meet it on its concrete surfboard. God help America!

May or may not be done but this is the beginning of what will be, for Mueller, a very difficult investigation to finish. Nunes, I have said it before, is a genius. Four pages as throw a huge monkey wrench into what is becoming a crap shoot.
If Nunes was such a genius, he wouldnt have been caught having questionable meetings with Trump days before he made debunked claims about surveillance in march of last year.

That and the fact that there are photos of people involved with the issue having meetings that Nunes claims did not happen
Ever notice the only 2 people Trump refuses to speak ill of are Stormy Daniels and Vladimir Putin?

Kind of like Loretta Lynch meeting Clinton?

If imitation is the highest form of flattery possibly the Obama admin should be flattered by the methodology seen here.

So Lynch met Bill Clinton? What did they discuss? Only they know and they both said it was about family and personal items. What changed because of that meeting? Apparently nothing. No one has said that anything changed after the meeting. Lynch was not involved in the FBI investigations of Hillary so she had no impact on that effort.

This is just an attempt to disract what is going on with the Trump administration and campaign now.
