In an argument against gun control an Alaska congressman suggested that Jews could have survived the Holocaust if they'd been armed.

'How many Jews were put in the ovens because they were unarmed?' Don Young asked during a speech Tuesday.

His response came after a question posed by Anchorage Democrat Dimitri Shein, who is running for Young's seat, Alaska Public Media reported.

Carson also argued that point in his book A More Perfect Union, and at least twice on the campaign trail.

The line has also been pushed by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones on his website InfoWars and by the NRA.

Hitler was a bad mofo.
Had those Jews had guns he would have slaughtered them in the streets.

Cause..Hitler...

Guns would not have saved them.
Guns in their hands would have given Hitler his excuse for total extermination of them.
Just like it would be for a black guy where the cops are scared and his three hands aren’t up.

If those teachers in Florida had been armed, there would be less dead students and staff and there would be more dead shooters.

Unless the teachers started accidently shooting kids in their desire to play Rambo.
Wolf Braun had died a fiery death and the Archangel emerged.

Hey, guys.

Nonsense.

I posted THIS topic because I am familiar with the argument, and have actually spoken with many eyewitnesses who observed Jews being rounded-up in Germany and eastern Europe from 1939 to 1945.

I am here to state that what the Alaskan legislator said was 'absolutely true.' The round-up of the Jews was made easy to the Gestapo by the fact that most Jewish families couldn't defend themselves when they came for them. Many of them had inklings that death awaited them, but could do nothing to make the playing field level. They had no guns. On the eastern front hundreds of thousands were rounded-up and marched to concentration camps by only a handful of German soldiers. I have spoken to a number of people who personally witnessed it. Finally, during the Warsaw uprising in 1944, the Jews had a handful of guns with which they held-off the German Wehrmacht for days. No German wanted to enter the Warsaw Ghetto. It was much too dangerous. The Jews would have succeeded had they had just a few more guns. They could have held out for weeks. The Russian Army was approaching from the east, and the Nazi's had no intention of holding the line in Warsaw.

The fact that there is "outrage" at this statement is curious. Where you there? Did you know the circumstances? Do you have any idea what it's like to be completely, ...defenseless? Jews died by the millions because they had no way of defending themselves, and their families. It's obvious that we haven't learned that lesson today.
