Prosecutors Reviewing Request to Issue Arrest Warrant for Trump’s New CIA Director

Federal prosecutors in Munich are currently reviewing a request to issue an arrest warrant for Gina Haspel, President Donald Trump‘s recently named director of the Central Intelligence Agency (“CIA”).

Haspel currently serves as the deputy director for the CIA and her nomination to head the agency must be approved by the U.S. Senate. Prior to her appointment as CIA deputy director, Haspel controversially ran a secret CIA prison in Thailand used to house, question, and allegedly torture detainees during the second Bush administration’s War on Terror.

"Those who commit, order or allow torture should be brought before a court – this is especially true for senior officials from powerful nations."

It is not a human Right to harm anything. Unfortunately it is a human trait.

But because we have the capacity of intelligence, thought, decency and empathy and in theory strive towards a civilized society it is a choice we own to harm others or do no harm.

When you get people electing repugnant idiots into office, can you really expect the person elected to appoint people who are not repugnant or idiots to join their team? The question is, what adjectives to the people who vote for repugnant idiots deserve?

Can we include "all Democrats," as well as the above-mentioned Obama, as being among those whom we consider to be a "repugnant idiot(s)"...?

Just wondering....

President Trump supporters love to rally around the word "deplorable" and wear it like a badge of honor but when you look at their actions, look at the things they write in here, what they accept, what they ignore, their hollow core values and principles which they transport on greased rails and how they regard events and people many of them simply define the word like it was their job to do so.

Lets be clear there are many actual conservatives that do not fit that bill, are reasonable, mature and are individuals with strong moral values and principles that don't shift at the drop of a political hat but our modern conservative movement in the United States wants nothing to do with them.

Obama was neither repugnant nor an idiot: Here's some clues: Obama can string a sentence together; Bush could not. Obama doesn't look like a clown; Trump does. Obama didn't lie his way into a war resulting in hundreds of thousands of Iraqi deaths and a few thousand dead US soldiers and nor did he literally rip the guts out of the Middle East through utter stupidity on a PNAC ticket - Bush did. Obama doesn't come over as a loud mouth slob - Trump does.

Do I need to go on? I know, I know, you probably didn't vote for Trump, but you whole heartedly support him now, even if you didn't, so you're smarting from the realisation that you probably deserve some less than complimentary adjectives to your name..

But I still love you... :headexplode:

She worked for the liberal "sainted one" Obama for 8 years and just now you folks are upset by her? Seriously?

According to her Wikipedia page

In 2005, Haspel was the chief of staff to Jose Rodriguez, Director of the National Clandestine Service. In his memoir, Rodriguez wrote that Haspel had drafted a cable in 2005 ordering the destruction of dozens of videotapes made at the black site in Thailand in response to mounting public scrutiny of the program.

In 2013, John Brennan, then the director of Central Intelligence, named Haspel as acting Director of the National Clandestine Service, which carries out covert operations around the globe. However, she was not appointed to the position permanently due to criticism about her involvement in the Rendition, Detention and Interrogation program. Her permanent appointment was opposed by Dianne Feinstein and others in the Senate.

I don't know when her position and what took place was declassified.
I speak only for myself but I would have been completely opposed to her receiving any position that an Obama White House would have tapped her for.

D - "sainted one"? Really?

"From 2002 to 2005" = Bush43, not Obama.

And yes, there was outrage during and after.

Terrible choice. https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/gina-haspel-s-complicity-torture-makes-her-profoundly-unfit-be-ncna856551

so bad Russiagate turned to be a fake story, you could blame Putin for her appointment
and peace would have been restored among both camps.... :)

If American establishment has any brain - after subduing Trump it must find the way to heal impact of Democratic whitch hunt which left the US so deeply divided that it is a real threat to stability and future of the country.

The war is an excellent tool for this and has always been.
CIA appoints worriors to the government, Pompeo, this torture god mother, I am sure new such appointments to come later.

The US is going to start the war, there are so many aspects pro-war, that it is already inevitable.

A good, big, World war is the only way the American (and Global Globalist) establishment can survive the Final economic collapse. Otherwise they will be hanging on the trees in a week after the economy collapses.
But if you blame Russians and start the war - you personally will perfectly survive, and even will keep ruling the GULAG the US will become.
