Hopefully, Bernie and his followers realize that after the primary is over the people that are not part of the Trumpster fire need to rally together to send him packing.
If they don’t, those that don’t understand the reality of the situation are just a part of the problem.

I’ll be backing whatever candidate emerges that has the best chance to retire Trump early.
That will not be any third party spoiler.

Bernie would be good for the country. Just look at the success of his policies in Venezuela.

A public health miracle has been engineered in a socialist country. Venezuelans have reportedly lost 19 pounds on the average from the effects of socialism in just one year, according to Fox News. And that figure may be an underweight understatement. Poorer Venezuelans, for instance, reportedly have lost even more than 19 pounds.

Maybe he doesn't want to be responsible for handing Republicans an electoral victory on a silver platter?

As you have so eloquently pointed out in the past it was the establishment DC corporatist Dems that handed Trump the victory....

Instead of cultivating a reason for the Bernie folks to align with them they arrogantly said eff you and fall in line...when that didn't work they rigged the process and once that was known the rift was tough to bridge...even given a third home for Bernie was not enough to appease those who were no longer buying what the DC DNC swamp was selling

Bernie supporters have more in common with Trump supporters than there DEM GOPe counterparts...

This rift is also why the Lib/Dem board is the ghost town it is today.....you were there ....you know....CT, Wilmy et al were all telling you people after they rigged the thing to get the nomination cuck it up buttercup....

That is the only way Trump can win in 2020.
It turned out to be the difference in 2016.

No wonder the boys want to see a replay.

Valid points. However, if the decision is going to be between letting the Republicans win and having to support mainstream Democratic candidates that, while not ideal, aren't Hillary Clinton, then I think Bernie and co. are going to pick option two.

Republicans just suck that bad.

I would respectfully suggest that the Democrats a) not attempt to sabotage the primary of whoever isn't the "mainstream" pick, and b) stop bad mouthing Bernie's supporters and then expecting them to support the Democratic candidate anyway.

Mainstream Democrats have a decision to make this time around. They can either look for common ground with the more progressive side of the house or they can do what they did last time, which was to piss them off by demeaning them and attempting to cheat their candidate out of a primary victory, and then expecting them to get energized and show up in droves for a candidate they didn't want and believe was foisted on them through an illegitimate process.

Bernie is the dems future. The country is begging for a whiny socialist like Bernie who never had a full time job until he was almost 40. Hopefully he will revive the disastrous Vermont single payer healthcare scheme that would have bankrupted Vermont. Remember, abject failure has never stopped a liberal! Run Bernie run.....

If Bernie should run and then win, we'll have Trump and his supporters to thank for the victory.

If Sanders gets the support he needs to be nominated as a Democrat, I’ll vote for him.
If not, then thinking people have to understand in no uncertain terms that voting for a third party is a vote for a Trump.
Just as it was in the last election.

Democrats better wise and play nice with progressive or THEY'LL be the only ones to blame.
