President Trump on Friday announced that he has approved military strikes in Syria against the regime of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

The announcement follows a suspected chemical gas attack from the Assad regime on a rebel-held town near the Syrian capital last weekend.

Assad's actions, Trump said, "are not the actions of a man, they are crimes of a monster instead."

Hope so but the objective is probably to send N. Korea and Iran a message. Trump is totally against the lopsided deal with Iran made by Obama. I hope Kim Jong is watching.

No issues with this strike so far. Like that it involved France and Great Britain. Looking forward to more details.

Now, what is the strategy for this region? Is there any?

A huge impact Trump has made this week as it ends. I was just watching the commercial air traffic flying over Syria, Iraq, and Iran. I count, as expected, no flights over Syria. I was watching for Russian cargo planes, I see none. Only 7 commercial flight now flying over Iraq. All flight patterns which operate over eastern Iraq now shifted toward central Iran airspace.

OK....You want a long term strategy with Syria....Would you mind if we can at least wait for the dust to clear on this first?....At least the red line is now a red line....
