The Israeli military has disabled a major tunnel dug by militants which reached into Israel from the Gaza Strip, officials say.

Defence Minister Avigdor Lieberman said it was the longest and deepest tunnel of its kind Israel had discovered.

A military spokesman said it had been dug since the 2014 Gaza war, when Israel destroyed more than 30 tunnels which it said were meant for attacks.

Israel is using sophisticated measures to thwart tunnels dug by militants.

Some further thoughts on fences, barriers, tunnels and walls......

It was once said, and since denied, that the only man-made object which could be clearly seen from moon-walking US astronauts was, ...the Great Wall of China. A wall separating northern China from the barbarous Mongolians. The Chinese had become so sick of Mongolian-led invasions that they invested millions of Chinese man-hours, money and time in building this massive, 7th century BC structure.

We've come full circle.

One of the most drastic changes to Israeli society over the past 10 years was the building of 'their' great wall, separating West Bank controlled Palestinians and Israeli settlements nearby. Before that structure was in place, suicide-intending wannabe's simply wandered into the nearest pizzaria and pulled some strings. In the early 2000's there was a steady stream of killings throughout Israel due to a lack of barriers. Now, today, the Israeli's put a stop to most of the carnage with, ....a simple wall. Not only that, new technology makes it increasingly difficult for terrorists living in Gaza to "tunnel under" the border. That used to work just a few short years back, but not anymore.

This is the future for countries wishing to remain whole, especially for the United States. In Europe, it may be too late.

When historians write the book on the collapse of European societies, perhaps just a short 50 years from now, they will most certainly point to one man as being the cause for most of it. Helmut Kohl. When the wall came down in 1989, and the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, he was the guy who took it upon himself to reconstruct the new Europe. No more borders, no more walls. Just wave a passport and you zip from Greece to Norway in no time. In removing borders and passport checks the Europeans spelled their own doom. Once millions of migrants set-up shop around the railroad stations throughout Europe, there no longer was a way of removing all/most them without being accused of Nazism, or racists, by the imbeciles of the European 'far' left-wing. This is their moment of glory. Agree to your own destruction, or be called a Nazi. Europe was left hanging by its own petard. Today millions of Europeans cower in their own homes at night, afraid to walk the streets after the dark settles in. It's become medieval, barbaric. Women are simply terrified of this new Europe. When the rioting starts in just a few short years, Europeans will be left wondering how the hell did it all wind-up this way? How could we have allowed ourselves to destroy our own culture and history?

Europe has forgotten what the Chinese knew way back in the 7th century BC, and the Israeli's recently discovered, ... "strong walls make for good neighbors....."

As far as I am concerned, Israel can build a 20-foot wall all around pre-67 Israel and dance tangoes inside till their eyes bleed. However, the thieving bastards grabbed West Bank land to build their wall on - they fancied a bit of good fertile farmland belonging to somebody else so they included it behind their wall... and the Americans applauded.

Got no time for thieves.

Why the hell the US didn't give California to all those Europeans in 1948 to form the State of Israel beats me - after all, Israel runs your Foreign Policy and holds its hand out to the tune of three billion dollars each year, so WTF?

That way the Middle East could have been saved 70 years of squatters and the US could have spent all that money on The Free State of Israel on the US Pacific coast, instead. A critical point in the "peace process" was passed 17 years ago with the Taba Accords, an agreement on the boundaries of the new Palestinian state which the PA was willing to go along with, leaving only secondary matters to be worked out.

At that point, the militant Zionist coalition led by Netanyahu's Likud Party chose to walk away from the negotiations and to pursue the goal of Eretz Israel, annexation of Judea and Samaria, i.e. the West Bank territory seized from Jordan in 1970, to the U.N. established state of Israel formed in 1948.

In abandoning the two-state solution which was the official goal of both the USA and Israel's government up to that point, Likud abandoned all hope of a negotiated treaty with the Palestinians that would be acceptable to the world's nations and specifically the Arab nations and the Muslim world. Instead, Likud opted for a gradual annexation through "settlements" backed by military power subsidized by the US. This is a short-term goal with no long-term possibility.

The collapse of Iraq and the civil war in Syria have pitted an Iran-led coalition of Shia, Alawites and others against the Sunni powers backed by Saudi and Egypt. Conflict in Yemen and Lebanon threaten the stability of the Sunni powers. Israel has made a cynical alliance with Saudi, a pact reminiscent in its real politik with the deal made between Hitler and Stalin. Both nations have become dependent on the US, a fatal bit of colonial alliance in an era of Arab nationalism. In the Arab world, states may come and go but resistance to the non-Muslim Western state of Israel will remain until the current Crusader state dissolves.

Dhahran (Saudi Arabia) (AFP) - Saudi Arabia's King Salman on Sunday announced a $150-million (120 million euro) donation for the maintenance of Islamic heritage in East Jerusalem.

"Saudi Arabia announces a $150-million grant to support the administration of Jerusalem's Islamic property," the monarch said at the opening of the Arab League summit in the kingdom's eastern city of Dhahran.

"I name this summit in Dhahran the Jerusalem Summit so that the entire world knows Palestine and its people remain at the heart of Arab concerns," he said.

The new Saudi dictator is dancing uneasily between the US-Israel axis and the Arab world. This won't work

Gosh, if only Israel hadn't been attacked via Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq and Jordan with the help of some Russian military planes and other assorted goodies you could have had your wish....

We tend to forget our own history, don't we? Germany, 1944-1948, the greatest expulsion of humans in world history. Ethnic cleansing on a humongous scale. East Prussia. Silesia. Pomerania. Sudetenland. Donauschwaben. Romanian Germans.

In 1945 Germany lost after having started a World War, millions upon millions were expelled.

In 1967, the Arab coalition lost after conspiring to kill all the Jews or throw them into the M-Sea, a couple hundred thousand fled from the West Bank, but most stayed.

Life's tough when you start a war, then lose in the process.

Not a very good choice, for your cause, Mozzie. Germany was expelled from its stolen Liebestraum. Germany had tried to grab what they historically considers theirs, murdering on an industrial scale people who got in the way in the process.

So, how does this support the Zionist grab of a Liebestraum and on an even older historical ticket?

No, it's the perfect example...

The Germans who lived in these historic areas, "East Prussia, Silesia, Pomerania, Sudetenland, Donauschwaben, Romanian Germans.
",
had lived there for centuries. That was NOT part of the Lebensraum Plan of the Nazi's. The Germans ALREADY lived there. The expansion plan was primarily a leap to the east, the agricultural areas and breadbasket of Europe. That would have included the Ukraine, the Baltic States, Belarus, the Polish Corridor (most of Poland) and, on the other side, Alsace Lorraine. Today Kaliningrad is nearly 99% Russian. Back in 1939 it was 99% German, and had been for centuries.

Will you now join me in my planned protest at Kremlin Square next week, armed with some colorful placards, demanding that Vladimir Putin give back Kaliningrad to the Germans, and remove the 70 + years of "Russian squatters" occupying that beloved and ancient Hanseatic city, (Konigsberg)? With me? Maybe we can find some rotten tomato's to hurl at Vladimir Putin's limo when he drives by our protest? With me? Perhaps when they arrest us we can then share side-by-side prison cells in the Lubyanka. Huh? Won't that be a hoot?
