We like the singing competition shows. I do not disagree with the article beyond the fact I'm not an Ada fan. We were commenting on how white the selected were but AI has been a pretty white show. Most of the winners are white men.

Ada has an amazing voice but the drag queen personna is not "Idol" worthy. It seems tired. I think she needs to find something a little more modern ala Lady Gaga to be considered a "star" or "idol".

But then I suspect that is not why you started this thread.

Sorry I disagree. Some of the more successful performers are the more unique ones that do not fit a "pop" sterotype.

I don't recall seeing rap singers on American Idol, so the show hasn't totally dumbed down the public............. :dunno:

I started this as to providing an answer why the author wrote this article.

This show is viewed by almost all white viewers. Are you or the author of this article surprised that most winners are white? The author seems to be, which is puzzling to me.

This is like white people complaining that a white actor/actress did not win the best actor/actress on the BET Award.
