The State Department is at the critical center of the Trump administration in an even more important role than the more exciting topics of immigration or taxes. It is through the DoS that the administration intends to navigate America to a soft landing in the new world order of the 21st century. This landing will have profound effects on our economy and our military policy. The broad outlines of Trump's policy in this hugely important, central area are not secret, although his communication style in sound bites and on Twitter do not provide the coherent "Trump Doctrine" that presidents since James Monroe have tended to issue. This may not be a mistake as the current political climate and news coverage make a traditional foreign policy statement little more than bait for a partisan feeding frenzy. Trump understands that the 20th century Western alliance whose flagship is the NATO treaty is obsolete. His somewhat awkward gestures of friendship extended to Russia, China and PRNK -- balanced with bits of theatrical hostility for domestic political purposes ("nobody is harder on Russia than I am" etc.) is the first step in a new 21st century policy that recognizes that military might has a new, diminished but still important role in America. Our real problem isn't Trump -- at least not in the matter of foreign policy transition -- it is the controlling power over Congress exercised by the dinosaur of the Military-Industrial Complex. |

Only liberals can choose not to go down the road to widespread, systematic violence. | |

Leave it to a mythical satirical Internet poster and his supporters here to post fake news. The WH doctor is not a Senate confirmed appointment. It is up to the President so Congressional Democrats (or Republicans) had nothing to do with him. |

Pompeo's likely confirmation is simply a side-show that liberals could care less about, except for the fact Rand Paul exposed himself once again as nothing more than a political opportunist who stands for nothing. The real story here is that Jackson may well have committed medical malpractice, prescription fraud is a very serious matter, especially when it pertains to Schedule I narcotics.

Veterans best chance to survive is to be able to go to real doctors at real hospitals....Going to a VA hospital is like playing "Russian roulette" with your health problems................

Perhaps Dr. Jackson gave President Obama unlimited amounts of narcotics to keep his weight down....That would also explain much about Obama's Presidential accomplishments ???..............
