Yes because what we need are more gas guzzling SUV's and trucks on the roads....
Just in time for gas prices to start climbing.
No coincidence since Ford's biggest shareholders are also invested in big oil.

Then they'll import the electric cars from Mexico and buy the batteries from China at a tenth the cost of producing them here..
