This morning we face an unprecedented break with our Canadian neighbors, one of our closest allies and biggest trading partners. And all this from the pique of a single American politician, one who can't get his facts straight and has taken to insulting the Premier on tweets. This is a crisis and a disaster without parallel in the history of the USA. This bizarre guy, whom nobody thought would be or should be president, is now off to chat with the head of a rogue state whose nuclear weapons have threatened our Pacific allies.

How characteristic of Perspectives that this critical, unprecedented crisis is being discussed through the exchange of pasted-on memes and fact free name calling. America is lurching ahead down a very dangerous path and the right wing is left behind in the playground throwing mud. You'll be glad when I am gone and so will I.
What was dangerous was the immigration policies or the past. Anything which could be done to change then was worth the effort.
The belief that past immigration policies were a danger needs some sort of clarification, given the enormous and well-studied role of immigration in our nation's history. I can't imagine what you are thinking of: which immigration when and what dangers it produced. The only people who might conceivably think all past immigration was bad would be radical Native Americans who are sore at the white men for coming over here and destroying their nations.
Native American tribes (not nations by any measure) simply imploded when exposed to new diseases and the superior technology of the white man.....More were killed by alcohol than by bullets............ :shakeshead:
Jesus can raise the dead, but he can't fix stupid
