http://www.sandiegouniontribune.com/news/2016/feb/24/trump-president-roosevelt/ "How Donald Trump compares to Teddy Roosevelt By James W. Ingram III | 5 p.m. Feb. 24, 2016 GOP candidate Donald Trump appears to have much in common with former President Theodore Roosevelt (TR). Since TR was not only successful in seeking the presidency, but became one of our greatest presidents, these parallels bear examination. Both New Yorkers, TR and Trump were financially successful sons of fathers who prospered in more traditional arenas. Both came from wealthy families but were impelled by necessity to strike out on their own. Both were known for touting the virtues of vigor and strength, and appealing to audiences because of their imposing physical presence. Both were bellicose and blustering about American foreign policy, somewhat jingoistic in trumpeting American superiority over foreigners. Both were nationalists, arguing immigrants should prioritize allegiance to America over their former homelands. Both entered the American consciousness through new media which had created a mass audience. Both spoke to the economic fears of workers and the middle class, but opposed labor unions and socialist ideas as threats to our economy. Both contested the presidency during incredible and traumatic economic transformations" |

Hmm, while the parallels are interesting it does bring up an intriguing question. TR's foreign policy motto was "Speak softly but carry a big stick". Due to his bombastic nature The Donald would possibly have a different motto. If Rubio's accusations have any merit maybe Mr. Trump's motto in life is "Speak loudly and carry a small stick" Edited by Demagogue, Mar 24 2016, 01:17 PM.

I'm sorry but that is just absurd to compare Trump with Theodore Roosevelt, except for the bombastic nature...that's on par...but the rest...not so much...Roosevelt saw that with great power comes great responsibility...he did that by preserving land for our National Park System and forcibly broke up monopolies so that competition can thrive. I sure as hell can't see Trump doing that. |

Yeah, that's why wall street and the establishment love him right? Because he is going to do their bidding? You are not a very perceptive guy when it cones to politics, man. |

I'm extremely perceptive..Wall Street doesn't like him because Trump takes reckless risks when it comes to money, usually other people's money..Wall Street likes order, order brings in money, disorder doesn't. Unlike his repeated bankruptcies, if Trump's economic policies fail, we can look forward to another recession. He can't just declare bankruptcy again and start over with some other sucker's money. You like him because he'll build a wall with Mexico, kept out brown people, kill Muslims, and smack the little woman around when she gets uppity. |

http://articles.philly.com/1991-11-20/news/25769814_1_donald-trump-marla-maples-big-bat "Trump Strikes Out Would Be Mugger by James Rosen, New York Daily News POSTED: November 20, 1991 NEW YORK — Call it The Donald to The Rescue. When he saw "a big guy with a big bat" bashing another fellow, Donald Trump did what any self-respecting billionaire would do: He ordered his driver to pull over. "I'm not looking to play this thing up," Trump said yesterday. "I'm surprised you found out about it." Witnesses said Trump, with Marla Maples tugging at his arm to try to stop him, leaped from his black stretch limousine Monday evening during the Manhattan assault" Yeah he's such a horrible human being and you're such an angel, we get it Tsalagi. |

Not a Christian, I could never be an angel, none of what I said bout Trump though was untrue..and I'd like to think it was Trump's Driver that made the man think twice considering he was probably packing a weapon. Because his driver got out first. I've also been married to the same wonderful woman for 3 decades, he's had as many wives in as many years, and they're always younger then the last one...I suppose for wife #4 he'll take a look at high school cheerleaders. |

When did I say you were a Christian? Then you wonder why I say you're a commie pretending to be conservative? You bring up things nobody said to set yourself apart even when nobody said anything you said. Nobody called you a Christian. |

"You're such an angel"...a being connected to the Abrahamic faiths, of which I'm not a member of. Try reading, your comprehension is slipping. And no, I'm not a commie...I can't actually believe you said that term...

Trump has never shot a buffalo, but he may start another Bull Moose Party...There are some similarities with Teddy Roosevelt, but it is not a match..........
