Windows 10 market share hits 20 percent after eight months, but issues remain

Windows 10 is a great OS, those that haven't learned how to use it remind me of the first windows 95 users.

Same with the Windows NT (New Technology) operating system. The birth of current windows platforms.

That will change when users realize that Vista and Windows 7and 8 are no longer supported or updated and become venerable. Has been the case when new windows OS comes out.
Microshaft was still being supporting Windows 7 with updates as of last week, so I imagine Windows 8 is still being updated supported as well. Microsoft no longer offers free help and tech support if you have problems with Windows 7 software from this point on. Microsoft will likely be providing updates for Windows 7 for years to come - just no tech support. After all, Microsoft supported XP for what 12 - 13 years? Windows 7 is likely the least vulnerable operating system Microsoft still provides updates for, and it's one of the best due to its stability, functionality, and reliability.

I am not one to give up that easily. On again ... via WX; though I do not see myself to do banking and the likes with that thingy at present.

Ah support for * and & maybe be available, but I bet the team isn't spending much effort in doing so.

Windows 10 and all the apps that are available works great.

It took almost 5 years before most user bought into windows 95 from windows 3.1

And another 5 to 7 years before they moved into windows 98, then they dared to move 98SE the all mighty PNP that required the purchase of everything new! That was when the great move to overclocking began.

Also the great years when CD players were disintegrating cd's in the machine as they blow up when they were spun too fast for the time of plastics being used to make the cd's.

Thanks.

We are trudging through. Fixed the audio issue by taking out driver and reinstalling.

With that action videos are now working again as well.

Got to our home page but not by a default setting yet.

Seems like a lot more steps to get anywhere.

This was my original "complaint box" from the topic I started on Windows 10.

Carrying it over although as you read above some stuff has been resolved.

So, just went the Windows 10 mode on our other computer and we (the wife and I) are hating it.

Can't get to our At&t homepage. - Still not able to set as default

Videos in you tube stutter - FIXED --> May have spoke to soon on this one - stutters again!

Audio not working - FIXED

Clicking on items, nothing happens - FIXED

Where is explorer? - GONE I SUPPOSE?

Changing window size?
- FIXED

Any more advice gladly received

My system if it helps

Best advice I've heard is do not update to 10 from 7 unless you plan on having your computer after support for 7 stops in what, 2020?

Anything new will have 10 by default.

Me too. If I need a new machine, I'll upgrade, but no reason to, yet, as long as this one lasts and 7 is supported.

Not true...he has set up trusts and a Foundation and like the Clinton foundation only doles out a percentage.....given the tax advantages and interests and yes profits of the trust...hardly overt charity....

That em effer Buffet has pulled the same stunts.....
