http://akinokure.blogspot.com/2016/03/the-re-masculinization-of-electorate.html?m=1 Forgetting the lessons they should have learned by now, the talking heads are still wringing their hands about what Trump can do to get a higher percentage of the female vote. But perhaps he took the opposite look at the situation -- how to consolidate more of the male vote. Since your typical crop of Republican candidates are limpwristed milquetoasts, it shouldn't be that hard -- and as he is proving, it is not. |

This also bodes well for the general election, where Trump would bring yuge turnouts of white working-class men, which any other GOP nominee would not. Hillary is unpopular with male Democrats, who prefer Bernie by double digits. Those who are voting for populist economic policies could very well turn out for Trump if Hillary were the Democrats' alternative. |

Boudica, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria, Margaret Thatcher would all disagree with that assessment. |

I think a woman who helped hold her country together during Britain's Blitz is to be commended yes, as a great leader., but I was referring to the original Queen Elizabeth. Boudica was an example of strong Celtic womanhood who didn't need a man to make her feel like she had a purpose Edited by Tsalagi, Apr 5 2016, 08:39 AM.

It was amusing for him to cite figureheads as examples of leadership. |

Boudica needed men to fight for her, Tsalagi. So your "Boudica didn't need her no man" claim falls flat on it's face. |

There is a world of difference between "Need", and "Want", Boudica was a queen whose husband was killed by the Romans, she took up the rebellion after. It was also common practice for women to fight alongside the men in Celtic/Gaelic tribes. I have no idea what small hands has to do with the concept of equality treatment between genders, but as it is, Native Americans on the whole are not tall, so yeah, I guess you could say I have small hands? |

Queen Elizabeth and Queen Victoria were figureheads??..Best direct that comment to Hughmac, he is a British Ex-pat and his country's portrayal doesn't lead to them being figureheads. |

No. You don't need an expert to understand that the monarch is a ceremonial position. Secondly, this thread concerns politicians deciding to pander to the women's vote. The Donald understood this left an underserved market of male voters and seized the opportunity. There will be valuable lessons learned from here going forward. |

Prasutagus was not killed by the Romans. The Romans just ignored his will when he died of natural causes. Also, I want some evidence that women fought for Boudica in the same or even close to the same number. I have never heard of such a claim. Edited by OffensivelyOpenMinded, Apr 11 2016, 01:25 PM.

At the time of those Queens, certainly Queen Elizabeth, the monarchy was not a figurehead. Again, I direct you to ask Hughmac that question as his grasp on British history is stronger then mine. As for pandering to the women's vote, simply not true, males make up a huge portion of the Democratic Party?...He seized the opportunity to get men on his side who yearned for the old days when they could cup a woman's ass at the office, make lewd comments at the water cooler, and smack a woman around when she got uppity. Queen Elizebeth II has never ruled, and that was the Queen I referenced. I won't say she does a bad job in reference to her current duties. I am glad we agree that Trump was able to pull in men who hadn't been involved in the political process recently. Trump understood that the answer to the Democratic Party's war on women is that Democrats hate men. This tactic has delivered him many primaries. |
