After Donald Trump's idiotic statements on abortion, Hillary Clinton decided to show that she is just as stupid a presidential candidate as Trump is by her statement that the unborn "don't have Constitutional rights" on Meet The Press. In an unrelated matter, Clinton says she is supporting a bill giving illegal immigrants full Constitutional rights. Hey, there are only so many Constitutional rights out there. If we give unborn Americans Constitutional rights then there won't be enough to give illegals and then who will they vote for when we give them the right to vote?

Texas is going to pass a law affirming the right of a fetus to bear arms. |

You do know that she is correct don't you? I can't say being correct is stupid. Under US law, fetuses do not have rights. http://legal-dictionary.thefreedictionary.com/Fetal+Rights |

So, does a fetus have voting rights? Or the right to free speech? How about freedom of religion? What religion does a fetus follow, anyway? |

If you stab a pregnant woman with a knife and the woman lives but the fetus dies, you get charged with murder. The fetus must have some rights. It's not really a matter of whether a fetus has the right to an attorney, to bear arms, etc. The fact is that the fetus is part of the woman and, indirectly, shares the same rights the woman does. I'm just surprised that, being a woman, Hillary could be so indifferent to a fragile human life. I guess it's been so long since she was fertile she can't remember what it was like so we now have to listen to the cackling ramblings of some old, dried up witch... |

That someone can be charged with murder for causing the death of a fetus is actually a fairly recent legal development, something that has come about in the last 25 or 30 years. And, as I understand it, it isn't universally true in all states. It certainly isn't something that the founders would have considered as part of the Constitution when they wrote it. Are we now going to agree that the Constitution is a living document or is it set in stone, based on the views of the founders when it was written? Can't really have it both ways. |

If a woman is in this country illegally, should her fetus be protected by the constitution of this country, or the woman's country of origin, or the country she was in at the moment of conception? If the fetus is a citizen of this country, is it exempt from deportation? |

That is not a right, that is a crime. The fetus has no rights. The crime is an assault on a woman and violence against her body which leads to the loss of the fetus. Clinton was correct in what she said. |

That's actually a good point. Citizenship in this country is conferred at the time of birth, not at the time of conception. So being conceived in the U.S. technically doesn't confer U.S. citizenship. So, if the fetus hasn't been born yet, how can it be a citizen of the United States? Perhaps it's an illegal alien? |

When the founding fathers wrote the Constitution they realized that they may not have gotten everything right with such a large and far reaching set of laws or that times would change and the Constitution would have to change with it. So they gave us the ability to amend the Constitution to meet those needs. That, in itself, answers your question of whether the Constitution is a living document. What most politicians fail to see is that the Constitution is set in stone unless an amendment is ratified. So, yes, you can kind of have it both ways... |

Curious though - murdering a pregnant woman in California get you two counts of murder, not one. |

In Colorado, a private grant funded a program that provided free birth control to poor and teen women. the results were impressive. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/07/06/science/colorados-push-against-teenage-pregnancies-is-a-startling-success.html However, when time came for the state to continue the program...' DENVER – A much-heralded Colorado effort credited with significantly reducing teen pregnancy and abortion rates is searching for new funding after GOP lawmakers declined to provide taxpayer dollars to keep it going. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation-now/2015/07/07/colorado-iud-long-term-birth-control-success-teen-pregnancy/29818499/ |

Agreed. |

Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary. #MAGA #wallsnotwars | |
