They may but not in this case. Again, making it a crime and conferring rights are two different things. The USSC has not taken up this issue in any case I can find. They have refused to hear cases on both sides. Case law at lower levels are all over the place. |

In that case, the Constitution doesn't include rights for fetuses and won't unless we should amend it. Good luck getting that amendment passed. |

You don't understand. Once the baby is born it becomes a citizen on its own and has its own Constitutional rights. But, while it is inside the mother it is part of the mother and enjoys the mother's Constitutional rights. The only reason Hillary was so blatant in her quote is that she wants to dig at the right to life movement - not because she has any feelings for or against a fetus - but it will solidify VOTES for her from the left that might just go to Bernie Sanders. Anything Hillary says should be taken with a grain of salt because she is a conniving bitch... |

So the fetus share's the Mother's Constitutional rights, but somehow the fetus' Constitutional rights trumps the Mother's Constitutional right to control her own body? How's that work, exactly? Edited by Opinionated, Apr 6 2016, 11:14 AM.

Well, that's the whole point of arguing that a fetus has Constitutional rights, an attempt to argue that the mother shouldn't be able to abort it. Otherwise, it's pretty much a moot issue. |

If you look back at my posts you will see that I state a fetus, as part of a woman's body, enjoys HER Constitutional rights. So, indirectly a fetus does share Constitutional rights with the mother. I also stated that no one has the right to tell a woman what to do with her body. My whole point is that Hillary Dillary doesn't really give a rat's ass one way or another about the fetus, she cares more about what to say in order to garner votes. There are plenty of right wingers you can argue with on this board instead of trying to put words in my mouth to further your own agenda... |
