Exploit all the emotion you like. But that does not give you power over the reproductive choices of another person. |

Not a second before? So in the case of identical twins, the one born 2 minutes ago is a human being upon whom all rights are conferred, and the one about to be born in 2 minutes is not? Am I the only one who sees the spectacular illogic in that? |

The best method for reducing abortions is providing all women access to free birth control. Making it illegal or restricting access to it sounds like it might work, but it never will. Humans make illogical choices all the time. In general, it's like everything else in this world considered a bad choice, making it illegal has little effect on the frequency with which it occurs. It simply allows you to punish people for it. |

Of course. I spent my youth impregnating women simply to pay for their abortions. They say romance is dead... |

“the one born 2 minutes ago is a human being upon whom all rights are conferred,” Actually, the one born 2 minutes ago is an “American citizen” upon whom all rights are conferred. That is, assuming this birth was on American soil. Interestingly, conservatives are attempting to take away even that right preferring that a child of Mexican parents born on American soil is not an American citizen and does not have rights protected by the Constitution. Probably not but then the anti-choice crowd is illogical. The fact is, legally, citizenship is based on being born. So yes, the one that is born is a citizen before the one that has not yet been born. As soon as the second one is born they too will be considered citizens. |

Or maybe women could get married and make families, contributing to a healthy society instead of wasting their lives. |
