You know, I always figured Obama would have been better for your Party as the DNC, and not Dean. He's too explosive in my opinion. Obama would make for a nice after POTUS DNC if you could get him to want to stay in politics.

You want someone who can motivate that local black business owner to run for City Alderman, that Latino 2nd gen to run as a Mayor. Whom you can mold for later State Assembly or US Congressional positions. Cut the wheat from the chaff early on
That would be my best scenario. I think he would be a really great top down reorganizer for the DNC all the way to the grass root levels.

Highly unlikely, but whoever they settle on, they need to find someone committed to a state and local level reorganizing.

It's how we trounced your guys when the TEA party congressmen/senators came in...strong at the local, you were looking at the top dawgs, when you should have been looking at the pups.

Yep, the lesson was hopefully learned.
There needs to be a different sort of influx though. I think the boost you got from the Teas might not have any long term value.

The TEAs will settle down, sooner more then later..DC does that to you. Next thing you now, they'll be the Establishment and some hot dogs will want THEIR jobs. Every politician goes to DC hoping to be the generation that makes sweeping changes in the life of every American citizen. The next Roosevelt or Kennedy.
