And while the typical voter probably doesn’t know or care about candidates’ work on behalf of down-ballot allies, this speaks to a key difference between Sanders and Clinton: the former is positioning himself as the leader of a revolution; the latter is positioning herself as the leader of the Democratic Party. For Sanders, it means raising amazing amounts of money to advance his ambitions; for Clinton, it means also raising money to help other Democratic candidates. Clinton, Sanders differ on down-ballot Democrats ------- Edited by CautionaryTales, Apr 7 2016, 11:10 AM.

This is the key reason that the Superdelegates will hold firm for Clinton. It's about supporting those that support you. Clinton has proven herself to be a dedicated Democrat. She has walked the talk . Sanders is a Democrat only for his own purposes. |

Having a (D) president won't help much if he or she faces the same (R) dominated, intractable Congress Obama has. Of course down ballot candidates matter. But, you know ... REVOLUTION!!! WALL STREET!!! |

Sanders would spend four years waving his hands and yelling and his minions would be crying the blues about why he betrayed them...before a Republican kicked him to the curb. |

For better or worse, Sanders supporters support Sanders. Not the Democrat Oligarchy. Edited by ringotuna, Apr 7 2016, 12:01 PM.

Absolutely they do. That's why he should not have declared as a Democrat and promised te DNC that in return he'd help their fundraising. Sanders campaign inks joint fundraising pact with DNC http://www.politico.com/story/2015/11/bernie-sanders-2016-fundraising-dnc-215559 But he hasn't kept his promise Here’s why a Bernie Sanders victory for the nomination would make him a hypocrite https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2016/03/31/heres-why-a-bernie-sanders-victory-for-the-nomination-would-make-him-a-hypocrite/ Of course, the Bernie zealots see nothing wrong with this. REVOLUTION!!! WALL STREET!!! |

And, for better or worse, that's why Trump supporters support him and not the Republican Oligarchy. Funny how some people understand that their leaders should support them, and not a "pay for play" system of government that has left them in the mud... And here, that's how I thought the Constitution was supposed to work.

And that being the case, Sanders should not have lied to the Democrats about his intentions or we would have never let him run as a Dem. But that's OK with you zealots, cuz REVOLUTION!! WALL STREET!!! makes it all better. From this chair, he's just another lying POS politician, and you support him because you think the liar isn't lying to you. Exactly what you're accusing HC supporters of ... |

He hasn't lied about anything. Your candidate is running scared (and well she should be) and amp-ing up the mud. Twist and turn, twist and turn...Slick Willy's wife is running scared and is reliving the nightmare that another progressive gave her, back in 2008. After that mud bath didn't work on him, she kissed Obama and made up, like a good little "democrat", and went back to work for the Democrat Oligarchy. Only thing is, this time there are a lot of people out here that are not interested in working for the Democrat Oligarchy or the Republican Oligarchy. We'd like our representatives to actually represent us and our interests; and, not the establishment, that is using us as carrion. |

Bernie Sanders has not raised money from the DNC or from Wall Street or from billionaire fundraisers to get to the nomination. Hypothetical questions after that about the general is poo. I don't expect him to change his principles in mid stream. Hillary changes her principles as often as she changes her pant suit......... Have to go, have a life. |

Sanders is raising his funding to solely support his own ambitions, not the Democrats that are running down the ballot. Clinton, while ambitious in her own right, is helping the Democratic Party to fund those down ballot Party members that will be the important parts of a working government. Why should Superdelegates switch their allegiance to Sanders? What will Sanders do in office to work with a difficult Congress? Will he sputter and wave his hands for four years...until he gets kicked out of the office? Giz...if he doesn't delivery all of his pie in the sky promises that he has made... Will you be complaining at his "failures" That's the test of your grit. Edited by CautionaryTales, Apr 7 2016, 01:04 PM.
