From global trade agreements to the European Union project; from the work of the Bretton Woods institutions to the removal of pervasive capital controls; from the vast expansion in foreign direct investment to major increases in the flow of people across borders, the overall direction has been clear. Driven by domestic economic progress, by technologies such as containerized shipping and the Internet that promote integration, and by legislative changes within countries and international agreements between countries, the world has gotten smaller and more closely connected. |

Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary. #MAGA #wallsnotwars | |

Revolt?...you do realize, that's it only a matter of time, perhaps less then a century before humanity recognizes that the only real "Nation" here, is "Earthling", "Terran", "Solarian". We will slowly but surely recognize the fact that just as sci-fi typically portrays, a world united under one form of planetary government is our best bet to fully benefit all citzens With the age of the Internet, borders don't mean as much, with transport that can have sushi on my plate direct from Japan in under 3 days...yeah..a global economy will need uniform agreements, policies in order to best sustain such an economy. 'one world government' has bad idea written all over it - simply due to humans' propensity to support tyranny. |

Really, how so? If such a government has all the hallmarks of the very democratic institutions we hold dear, how does it equate to such a government being leftist in nature? Oh, but yeah..as NNeo states, a global economy does not equate to One World Goverment, but as I stated, what would it matter? |

A global economy is another step down the path of world government. A globalized economy leads to the disaster we have where Americans must compete with third world peasants from Mexico and in China which results in a race to the bottom. You can't control a global government. The only meaningful control you can have is on your local community government. |
