The problem of identity politics in this country results from the political elite legitimizing the identity politics of certain favored demographics and in doing so permits the oppression of those not members of the "protected class."

The next wave of authoritarianism will not be jack booted thugs, it will be PC police with rights scaled to the color of your skin, gender and sexual preference.

There has been some surprising backlash, such as the universities - but it has become too mainstream and too plentiful to not have an effect on our future.

People are already getting thrown in jail for opinions on the internet. Its already here.
It's usually not that authoritative. Imagine if your or my opinions were published to your employers or professional organizations? I imagine what has been said here could cause many to lose their professional licenses and thus their marriage, mortgage, or children.
That is happening now.

That sounds like it would have come from George Soro's mouth.
Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

I am going to venture guess and say the unknown author in the opinion post would be singing a different tune if the taxes they want levied were instead mandated on them.

Of course. What I write is a threat to the political system. It's a dissident voice that the establishment does its best to fight. I don't care. I spent my year fighting for the corrupt powers that be and I'll avail myself of this and Twitter to poke the system in the eye.

You are not any threat. You are an overgrown teenager full of angst and buzzwords.

Only liberals can choose not to go down the road to widespread, systematic violence.
