It's funny. Progressives only support multiculturalism to ape lower cultures and to drag the west down. When we find authentic and yet superior non-Western society they don't want to learn from that.
Yeah, sure... whatever.

I see. So why aren't copying Japan's successful policies which have prevented it from becoming a target of Islamic terrorism?
Because we are not an isolationist nation.

Why aren't we copying superior access to healthcare that every other industrial nation has for it's citizens?

Opps!

[/quote]That's not what George Washington or Thomas Jefferson said. Isolationism would not only be copy of Japan's successful mercantile policies, it would be a return to the wisdom of the founding fathers.

Whatever case you are attempting to make it is obliterated by hundreds of years of reality that this nation was not built on isolationism.

I'm sorry, George Washington's farewell address espoused isolationism and he made his case so well that Thomas Jefferson was compelled to repeat it. Isolationist policies made America great.

By your logic, why aren't we copying Japan's gun laws? :dunno:
Gun rights weren't an aspect of traditional Japanese culture. That's why they weren't preserved. Guns and gun rights are an innate American tradition and so the Japanese manner would be to preserve and honor that heritage.

No, you are wrong.

The influx of ideas and input of cultures has made this nation stronger and created a strong and open nation which is still developing and evolving.

Tens of thousands of gun deaths a year is not a superior track record for a nation.

Opening the United States of America to other persons and cultures, the influx of immigration is also an American tradition.

I see you need more concrete proof.

The name of american, which belongs to you, in your national capacity, must always exalt the just pride of Patriotism, more than any appellation derived from local discriminations. With slight shades of difference, you have the same religion, manners, habits, and political principles. You have in a common cause fought and triumphed together; the Independence and Liberty you possess are the work of joint counsels, and joint efforts, of common dangers, sufferings, and successes.

Against the insidious wiles of foreign influence (I conjure you to believe me, fellow-citizens,) the jealousy of a free people ought to be constantly awake; since history and experience prove, that foreign influence is one of the most baneful foes of Republican Government. But that jealousy, to be useful, must be impartial; else it becomes the instrument of the very influence to be avoided, instead of a defence against it. Excessive partiality for one foreign nation, and excessive dislike of another, cause those whom they actuate to see danger only on one side, and serve to veil and even second the arts of influence on the other. Real patriots, who may resist the intrigues of the favorite, are liable to become suspected and odious; while its tools and dupes usurp the applause and confidence of the people, to surrender their interests.

36 The great rule of conduct for us, in regard to foreign nations, is, in extending our commercial relations, to have with them as little political connexion as possible. So far as we have already formed engagements, let them be fulfilled with perfect good faith. Here let us stop.

- George Washington

This is a dying nation whereby its core heritage and principles are being washed away by the world. There you have the words of the Greatest American, the Father of this directly tell you what you think makes this country great is not so.

There you have it folks. Progressives admit their vision has nothing to do with creation of this nation and is divorced from the values and historical thought that made America great. That's why we don't study the words of the Founding Fathers anymore. What they wrote contradicts the progressive narrative.

I believe Tokyo is one of the largest cites in the world.

Why won't leftists admit the culture plays a major Japan?

Different from Japan's society, a much older and very different culture.

You chose to ignore it at the time.

How do you explain Middle East or Africa with culture as old as Japan?
Kate Steinle was separated from her family permanently but leftists didn't seem to mind.
