It would have been worth it had Texas not already been reannexed by Mexico.
Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

Love to read it, but I have used up my views of that site without paying for it.
It's not gonna happen though.

Maybe it will be, but I can't get to the link without buying a subscription, so I can't read the op.

I still don't think there is any chance of any secession at any rate, but you go have some fun.

Generally if you C&P the thread title into Google it will bypass the block...if the doesn;t work try .ca insted of .com and if that doesn't work try a proxy from another country....one of the above will usually let you in....Forbes and a few others being the exception....

Hope they leave, good riddance. No more sucking up federal money put in from the liberal states like the majority of conservative states do.

Same.

I don't feel bad about them charging, it's more than understandable but I don't want their product.

The Constitution has no provisions included to cover secession, either for or against. Since there is no Constitutional mechanism to secede, a valid argument can be made that secession is not permissible. A reasonable argument can also be made to the contrary.

But we've been down this road once before. If the rest of the nation is willing to shrug their shoulders and let Texas secede, and probably the rest of the South as well once Texas manages to successfully secede, then it probably doesn't matter too much if the Constitution explicitly permits it or not.

If, on the other hand, the rest of the nation were to say, "now wait a cotton picking minute, this shall not stand," then things will get ugly, very fast.

What Texas will have to ask itself, if it continues down this path, is this, "is secession worth the possibility of going to war with the rest of the nation?" And only Texans can answer that question.

A new southern nation would be great. We'll probably get Indiana, Idaho, Arizona, and few other states as well. It would be great to have a nation free of degenerate progressive influence.

The South would quickly turn into even more of a third world pest hole without the financial support of the rest of the nation.

Of course . . . Because Chicago and Detroit are known for their fiscal stewardship
