When Trump gets the nomination. I'm not asking you how Cruz or Kasich will get the nomination at the convention either. So please don't go there. I'm asking for you to fess up and admit you'd rather have Hillary win than Trump. That will tell me you're going to vote for her. Your convention, Republicans, will doom you if Donald gets to it with the most delegates but is denied the nod because Trump is already making noises about a third party run if he gets screwed by your party insiders. It's time for all of you starting with your preferred candidates to face the music that trump will be your nominee. |

Party leaders have two choices. 1. Give Trump the nod. if not 2. Guarantee Clinton victory. Las Vegas won't even bother with the betting line if Trump does not receive the nomination. |

I can name at least three republicans here who will vote for Hillary if Trump gets the nod. And they know who they are without me mentioning any login names. |

That probably cancels out the 3 Democrats here that will vote for Mr. Trump if SOS Clinton is nominated. Edited by coverpoint, Apr 21 2016, 03:23 PM.

Since there is no responsible way to vote for Mr. Trump this will simply divide responsible Republicans from those that have made modern conservatism the historic low point of American conservatism that it is. |

Just out of curiosity (and because I see this so often), why do you refer to her by her first name "Hillary" and to him by his last name "Trumph"? |

I'd like to know how Philly knows what someone is going to do, "I know 3 Republicans", how do you KNOW these things? As for your question, I'm still holding out for Kasich, sorry, I realize you wanted to frame the response to fit your rhetorical question, but sorry, you want me to "fess up" for something I never had any intentions on doing? But for the sake of argument, if Trump gets the nod, I simply won't vote...there..happy? |

Normally when I say Clinton I automatically think of Bill, probably because he was president through the majority of my childhood. Or are you asking why other people do it? Not sure. Maybe she's just one of those women who created a single name for herself like Cher. Edited by Freaks, Apr 21 2016, 04:45 PM.

I will vote against Hillary. If the person with the best chance to keep her out of office is Trump then he will be the guy I vote for. |

Freaks, for similar reasons I don't user her last name. Just like with the Bush presidents, when you have two politicians with the same name you have to differentiate. So for the Bush 43 I usually use GWB and for his father I use Bush or HW Bush. Incidentally, when I type Hillary when referring to Ms. Clinton what I am actually thinking as I write it is Hitlary.

Thanks. I see nothing wrong with it, I just noticed it was quite common and wondered why. You could well be right about "Clinton" referring to Bill Clinton. |

2 months ago I still was holding out hope my Party would find it's ass and kick Trump to the curb. As it, I did say to all that if he got the nod I would be staying home come Election Day. |

The Not Voting deal is very difficult for Aussies to reconcile. The vote is freedom's triumph. It's a franchise and a privilege granted to us all in the free, democratic world. If you do not vote you are denying the future. You cannot say I voted for the other guy when IT hits the fan. You cannot claim the high ground when your choice gets in. You are nothing. |
