No one here accused either of you having a greater than high school level understanding of economics.
And no one has accused you of having more than an elementary school mentality. But then some things go without saying.
That zinger was a rehash of what I just wrote. I find your lack of creativity disappointing.
Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary.

Bay area real estate prices are the market at work. Not sure what "progressive" has to do with it. It's classical microeconomics. The economy is booming. More money, increased quantity demanded, limited supply = higher prices.
The prices are not the free market at work....the libs via onerous restrictions and regulations on development have created an artificial scarcity driving up costs much higher than they would be if the free market was allowed to work....
Have you been to San Francisco? There really is no where left to build.
There's no place left to build housing but plenty of spaces to build up if you are rich like the leftist Salesforce CEO.
Have you been to San Francisco lately?

I didn't make this up Wilmy and the market itself could not have done this without the help of these progressives screwing the very same people they claimed to represent.

I admit I find the idea that illegal immigrants, working for wages at the complete bottom of the scale, are causing overcrowding in San Francisco to be pretty ludicrous. They simply can't afford to live there.
No one here accused either of you having a greater than high school level understanding of economics.
Once I found a one bedroom apartment in Phoenix that housed 20 illegal alien workers...They explained that they worked different shifts and slept in shifts.............

Mm, cost of living is one of the main things I've had trouble with in planning out my move to the L.A. area, and frankly it's looking like I may wind up having to plant myself waaaaay outside of the area and go through the very long commute. Not quite ideal, but that's life.

San Francisco Torn as Some See ‘Street Behavior’ Worsen

(excerpt)

Quote:

SAN FRANCISCO — From her apartment at the foot of the celebrated zigzags of Lombard Street, Judith Calson has twice peered out her window as thieves smashed their way into cars and snatched whatever they could. She has seen foreign tourists cry after cash and passports were stolen. She shudders when she recounts the story of the Thai tourist who was shot because he resisted thieves taking his camera.

And that is her tally from the last year alone.

“I never thought of this area as a high-crime neighborhood,” Ms. Calson, a retired photographer, said of this leafy part of the city, where tourists flock to view the steeply sloped, crooked street adorned with flower beds.

Building codes will do that.
San Francisco had an earthquake and big fire awhile back. They have been stricter on this building code thingy since those days.

Rubbish...if that were truly the case they would tear down the alleged unsafe older buildings...

Progressives are mostly at fault here. They refused to allow new buildings or extremely few being built. They refused to loosen up arcane or do away with antiquated laws. They demand owners to bear the brunt of the cost for retrofit or fix-up. Add those up and you have a shortage of supply. No owners is stupid enough to get jack year after year with rising property tax and other fixed cost with out raising rent or renting to people who owners think are "socially responsible".

Next, you have these leftists complaining that several hours of commute a day is way to much burden.

They hate them for being gullible enough to reelect them. Can you blame them?

That street used to be one of the quietest streets after dark. It also used to be a street where pedestrians and tourists can walk along there carefree like not worrying someone stealing their possessions. I can tell you that most of the criminal activities were not committed by whites and Asians.
