Obama can't seem to get through a day without showing his contempt for our military. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2325893/President-Obama-makes-U-S-Marine-break-rules-does-look-happy-it.html |

I couldnt' find it, but is there any link to indicate that President Obama ordered the Marines to carry, and the statements were not quite correct, Women Marines can carry umbrellas apparently. Though I don't know why I couldn't? I don't like to get wet either, so how come my former women Marines could stay dry but not me? I also haven't bothered to research this, but the photo looks fake? The Marines wouldn't be ordered to hold the umbrellas normally. Also, Title 10 of the US code dictates that the Marines must perform any duties as directed by the President. There is also pictures of past Presidents on both sides apparently in circulation where Marines did just that. I also believe there was one of Sarah Palin having an umbrella held for her. I will defer to the general instead of listening to a silly, a left-wing sheep. |

There is no shame in holding an umbrella for the Commander in Chief. |

Correct, only one is a Marine. Barry forced this Marine to violate Marine protocol. His disdain and lack of respect for ALL branches of our military is part of his DNA. The record speaks for itself. TROLL ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, there is something in Marine protocol that requires that a Marine allow the President of the United States, and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces, stand in the rain without an umbrella because that Marine's "dignity" is more important than the President's? Bullshiat. If he was given a lawful order, he is required to obey that lawful order. Covering the President with an umbrella so that he doesn't stand there getting soaked is a lawful order. The Marine did his freaking duty, and was probably proud to do so. Whiny piss-ants who try to undermine the dignity and respect of the Presidency because they're bent out of shape because a black man is in the White House piss me the hell off. Grow the hell up, you ignorant racist blow hard. |

I pointed out the speedman that Title 10 of the US Code gives the legal precedent for that Marine to accomplish any and all duties requested of him by the Commander in Chief, but is there any corroboration that the CiC actually gave the order, nothing I've read indicated that he himself gave the order to those Marines. |

The article speaks of the MCO (Marine Corps Order) that deals with uniform regulations, it doesn't say "ALL" Marines, Women Marines are indeed allowed to carry an umbrella, rather sexist I might add, to say the women don't have to get wet but I had to, but he is correct in that Male Marines are not authorized the use of umbrellas, course as I stated, that smacks right up there against Title 10 |

I think Chris Rock should be the one holding the umbrella. He was Oprah's butler during the Oscar. |
| Kate Steinle was separated from her family permanently but leftists didn't seem to mind. | |

That regulation is in place so that male Marines do not use umbrellas for themselves and is, frankly, a stupid regulation. It was in no way intended to prevent Marines from holding umbrellas for the President of the United States or any other significant civilian authority. This is a freaking tempest in a tea pot. There are far more significant reasons for criticizing Obama's performance as President, but for some conservatives this seems to be the best they can do. |
