High food prices and meager supplies in stores and markets continues to be a fundamental problem for Cubans on an island where one restaurant dish can cost a month’s salary. Agricultural output is not improving, and the government is threatening to pull back on economic reforms.

Its amazing how we have all this documented evidence of socialism failing every time its tried - yet people still consider the government their white horse. Actually all you have is Venezuela to harp about, all the other social democracies like Norway, Sweden, Iceland , Germany, Denmark and the like, are doing quite fine, in fact better than the US
And you are trying to tie Venezuela's problems with socialism, when the truth is that the cause of their economic problems stem mostly from the crash of the oil market, which Venezuela depended on for over 80% of their economy. The other problem was a result of their awful currency manipulation. They import pretty much all their food because most of the workforce were pushed into the oil sector. That manipulation has led to a lot of corruption by their importers
True there is an overbearing beauracracy problem, but the main culprit is the oil market, you know, capitalism
Libertarians are phonies. They act like they're all about freedom for the people, but what you really are about preserving privilage, hoarding wealth, excluding others from advancement, and getting your hands on the public trust for self profit
The worry from the rich is that the majority are catching on to their scam and want a fairer share of the pie, but rich people dont like to share, they want the whole pie to themselves
The one power that can force them to share is government, which is why they hate government

Its amazing how we have all this documented evidence of socialism failing every time its tried - yet people still consider the government their white horse.
Actually all you have is Venezuela to harp about, all the other social democracies like Norway, Sweden, Iceland , Germany, Denmark and the like, are doing wuite fine, in fact better than the US Norway funds it socialist programs with oil and gas. Sweden is privatizing, its socialist state is grinding to a halt only after about a decade - feeding off the riches of its once booming capitalist economy. Denmark has some of the highest taxes in the EU, with its free college everyone that gets in studies basket weaving and gender studies. Germany, is surviving despite its socialist sector with a heavy manufacturing and export economy.
The truth is that socialism destroys economies - and capitalism supplies the life support. The problem is that the two counteract each other - or let me rephrase that - socialism is a parasite on the excesses of capitalism, but eventually capitalism moves away.
Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, parts of the US - the countries you name are all capitalist countries which is why they have different levels of success. The government's are broke - the private sector is booming. Why is that atta?
The countries that are succeeding are at the top of the list for economic liberty, and the economic tyrannies are at the bottom. Why is that atta?
And you are trying to tie Venezuela's problems with socialism, when the truth is that the cause of their economic problems stem mostly from the crash of the oil market, which Venezuela depended on for over 80% of their economy. The other problem was a result of their awful currency manipulation. They import pretty much all their food because most of the workforce were pushed into the oil sector. That manipulation has led to a lot of corruption by their importers Then why do other OPEC countries have toilet paper? You forgot to mention price fixing which is the same economic suicide pill you want american's to swallow. True there is an overbearing beauracracy problem, Ha. That's an understatementbut the main culprit is the oil market, you know, capitalism yes capitalism is to blame for Venezuela's demise. Libertarians are phonies. They act like they're all about freedom for the people, but what you really are about preserving privilage, hoarding wealth, excluding others from advancement, and getting your hands on the public trust for self profit That's hilarious - when we look at the paradigm you support now. You champion freedom and then you want to soak the rich. You bawk about privilege while feeling entitled to everyone else's stuff. You cry about the stock market and hedge fund managers while supporting the central banking model that put them there in the first place.
Libertarians are the only element left in america that supports liberty - and you've swallowed the authoritarian pill. That's what this is about.
The worry from the rich is that the majority are catching on to their scam and want a fairer share of the pie, but rich people dont like to share, they want the whole pie to themselves Yeah. We've seen this before. France tried to soak the rich and they all left the country. Seriously - what is the point of being rich if you don't at least spend you money? Your economic theories of hoarding have no basis in reality. Perhaps if leftists in the US exercised a little less greed and welcomed the capital for investment - it would come back.

More libertarian crappola from esto Reality is libertarian? I'll buy that.Sweden isnt privatising Charter schools, low corporate taxes, privatized municipalities, privatized retirement - in many way Sweden is "libertarian crappola" comrade. Yes, the crash of the oil market is basically why Venezuela, as well as Russia, Saudi Arabia and Iran are in recessions, not because they provide UHC True. But UHC doesn't help. And when the government is broke, people are forced to use a broken healthcare system, a privatized healthcare system wouldn't experience that burden.Yes, Im all for soaking the rich, they were privilaged enough to soak everyone else https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploitation_of_labour#Marxist_exploitation_theorySo what if the rich move? Soak them on the way out of 98% of their loot AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?Freedom aint freedom when only a few hold all the money Trickle up economics is a reality of attanomics
