It is inevitable, I think. If life has taught me anything, it's that as easy as one is put on a pedestal, the easier it is for one to swandive off it with an epic face plant. Sooner or later, the Orange One will do or something that will offend your mercurial sensibilities and you will toss him aside for the next patriot come latley who whispers the right pillow talk in your all too eager ear. |

I have seen Hillary's motorcades go through towns at high speed, chased by police cars and motor officers with lights and sirens blaring, in a desperate attempt to serve arrest warrants on her...........................

He's liberal when he wants to be. Or conservative. Or both at once. Or neither. As for what he really is, you're right, liberals don't have a clue. But then again, neither do you. No one does. Trump is a creature of rage and frustration. He happily takes on whatever guise gets him votes from the angry and the disenchanted. What would he really do as president? Who can say? Given his ignorance on policy, it is possible even he doesn't know. I certainly don't. But I know this: Finding out the answer isn't worth the cost. |

For those interested, here's a little more detail on Trump's flip-flop. "On my plan, they're doing down. But by the time it's negotiated, they'll go up." He added: "We're going to submit the optimum ... That's what I'd like to get and we'll fight for it. But from a practical standpoint, it's going to get renegotiated. And in my opinion, the taxes for the rich will go up somewhat." This is relatively illuminating as to what Trump might actually believe. Namely, he views the whole issue as a negotiation and setting goal posts. He really intended for taxes to go up all along but he's going to use that as a bargaining chip. Ironically, this is not a bad strategy though it is precisely the strategy that Tea Party conservatives have prohibited Republican candidates from using. In Tea Party world, you aren't supposed to negotiate tax increases with evil Democrats. But for some reason, Trump can. There is a sad Catch-22 here. What Trump is suggesting is quite reasonable and mainly the way politics used to run before radical conservatism destroyed it. You'd give some red meat to the rubes but then you'd sit down and negotiate with the other party. But if an establishment politician suggested this, the GOP base would destroy him. Effectively, this is what Barack Obama wanted to do on the budget and the right wing - along with guys like Clone - fought him for years. Trump can only say it because he's a dangerous lunatic who is allowed to say whatever crazy crap pops into his head. He's allowed to say he'd do sane things because he's crazy. But the fact that he's crazy prevents us from electing him where he might do sane things. |

Trump is a nationalist. It is right and just to raise taxes on rootless globalists. |

Trump started Twitting his new tax increase plan for the wealthy less than two hours after virtually wrapping up the Republican nomination. Because it was all planned well in advance. Which is typical of a candidate that stands for nothing. |
