Who really believes that heroin addicts should be prevented from killing themselves ???...Addicts are searching for that ultimate high...That is their subconscious goal in their miserable life...Heroin addicts should be eligible for doctor assisted suicide..................
I guess you just see an addict and not a person. Because they're addicted to certain things their life has less value to you?
Bingo !!!... I have known too many addicts who have no reason to live..........

Well you certainly don't give them a reason to.

My first time in Amsterdam went into the bathroom of the train station to pee...there was a dude shooting up right in front of me...certainly distracted me from noticing the tranny pizzing next to me....

Only liberals can choose not to go down the road to widespread, systematic violence.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepA good friend of mine is an addict.
I 'saved" her in 2004
She hasn't used in 12 years. now she is a successful realtor and leads a productive life...so shaddap
I believe that humans are capable of great good and great evil..sometimes with the same individual

If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place, oblige it to control itself.

James Madison
I didn't say all men were good - I just said the majority is.

4% are sociopaths.

Most acts of evil are committed by "normal" people

Yet this is still a small minority of the population.

The only reason the world appears evil is because news is on demand now.

Weekly Address: A Conversation About Addiction

https://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2016/05/14/weekly-address-conversation-about-addiction

In this week's address, Grammy Award-winning artist Macklemore joined President Obama to discuss a disease that affects far too many Americans: addiction. Macklemore opened up about his own experience, his life in recovery, and the loss of a friend who overdosed on prescription drugs at a young age – emphasizing that substance use disorder affects people from all walks of life. To underscore the importance of Macklemore's story, the President noted that we can help those suffering in private by making the conversation public, and we should do everything we can to make treatment available to everyone who needs it. The President noted that while the House of Representatives passed several bills on opioids this week, without more funding to expand treatment, these bills will not be enough to provide Americans the help they need. President Obama said there is hope, and that when we treat substance use disorder as the public health problem it is, more people will get the help they need. If you are looking for treatment in your area, call 1-800-662-HELP.
