Lol, Drudge, weak Obana's intervention in Ukraine resulted in civil war there, reunification of Crimea with Russia and partial desintegration of the Ukraine. Another Bush-style idiot in the White house and Ukraine will become a Russian province and the US will be humiliated. Remind me who was a US president in august 2008 when Georgia was encouraged and dared to attack South Ossetia, killing Russian peace keepers and finally loosing big part of its territory - forever....

Sorry bud, Crimea was a pawn for both sides. Unless Russia is ready for another Chechnya I style war, go right ahead and invade Ukraine. Make sure you have lots of body bags. In fact, Russia invading Ukraine may not be a bad idea after all. The result can lead to the end of Putin's regime.

Naval hassles can form a pretext for a war waiting to happen (Remember the Maine! Gulf of Tonkin) but doesn't have the runaway features of a land invasion. Nobody except for a handful of confused neo-cons wants a war with Russia and Russia doesn't want it either.
The military gorilla dust being flung around by Putin's USSR 2.0 is for domestic consumption. Pride in the mighty Russian military stiffens support for a regime that is having troubles with declining oil prices. All the rest is just talk.

I wonder what the redline for Obama is this time?
If the land reclamation 125 miles off Philippines would take place, what will Obama do? Show us you got some skin. It doesn't matter what his redline is, the Republicans will oppose it. Remember Syria, Obama was ready to take action against Syria when the Republican controlled Congress started legislation stopping him. He would had to have violated those resolutions and funding bills to follow through. It is one of the few times, maybe the only time at least in memory, where Congress acted to thwart the foreign policy actions of a sitting President. Then there was the fact that the American people were not behind any action in Syria even though Syria crossed the line.

We have a fleet there and it has been there for quite awhile. You seem to not know that, this is not a "every two months" deployment. Lately it has been a full aircraft carrier battle group augmented with additional surface ships.

President Trump will bring this country back to its status quo. Russia and China are just exploiting the weak leader in DC, nothing more. Trump will show these two who's yer daddy. ha ha ha... Tramp has chumped you. Tramp is going to fold like a cheap suit once he sees a deal he can make with the Chinese and the Ruskies. He's all talk.

In fact, why not just toss the anchor down right outside the phony islands? Obama is weak and the Chinese know this. He could have ordered the USS John Stennis just anchor several miles around one of those islands and dare the Chinese to take action. Just park the carrier there for one day and the Chinese will gladly come to the table and negotiate.

You want to start World War 3 over a couple of stupid manufactured islands that are just a huge money pit for Chinese as the ocean waters rise. Why don't you buy a boat and go over there and do your own little war thing. I would rather my tax dollars be used rebuilding the USA.

Lol, Drudge, Chinese will come to our table and negotiate how to counter the US Or, if a conflict comes to something bigger - you and Chinese will weaken each other, which is also good. Your beloved Hitler tried to conquer the World once, good luck with this again... The US was humiliated indirectly when your satellite Georgia dared to attack South Ossetia and Russian peacekeepers, then an attempt to swallow Ukraine resulted in Russian expansion to endangered area, now you seem to be eager to get thrown out of South Eastern Asia. The worst stupidity is to provoke a conflict which most probably will lead to your defeat. Obama seems to understand it, hopefully your next president will not and will speed your fall.

Better look after your man Putin. He's having a meltdown at this moment because of missile defense. If Russia/Soviet Union is so confident that their nukes can penetrate the shield, why the hissy fit in front of televised news?
