Sanders: 'Shots Were Fired Into My Campaign Office in Nevada'

(excerpt)

Quote:

"Within the last few days there have been a number of criticisms made against my campaign organization. Party leaders in Nevada, for example, claim that the Sanders campaign has a 'penchant for violence.' That is nonsense. Our campaign has held giant rallies all across this country, including in high-crime areas, and there have been zero reports of violence. Our campaign of course believes in non-violent change and it goes without saying that I condemn any and all forms of violence, including the personal harassment of individuals. But, when we speak of violence, I should add here that months ago, during the Nevada campaign, shots were fired into my campaign office in Nevada and apartment housing complex my campaign staff lived in was broken into and ransacked.

Disruption. Death threats. Harassment. Worst of all, the Clinton campaign appears to be tacitly encouraging this kind of horrifying behavior. If Clinton had any decency, she'd be out making a public statement right now denouncing such awfulness. Instead, her campaign does little but have aides foment more problems while issuing brief titters of vague disapproval that mainly blame the victims of his supporters' harassment. It's disgusting.

I'm afraid that - absent a strong stand against such behavior - we must conclude that Clinton privately approves of it. I certainly haven't seen much indication to the contrary.

This is the true face of the Clinton campaign. I can't blame her for having loony supporters. Every candidate does. But I can blame her for her passive attitude in the face of loonyness. Obama had some crazies go overboard too but he was a responsible guy who actually gave personal statements reigning in the goofier people in his ranks.

For the first time, I now agree that Clinton should simply drop out. I've long believed her to be professionally unqualified for the White House. But this is the first time I've wondered if she isn't PERSONALLY unworthy to hold it. That's something I've never thought about Clintonism before. But if this is really what Clintonism is about, she isn't just unqualified, she is a hazard to the nation.

^Unless somebody I'm not naming here has a case of double standards, that would be agreed upon in its entirety.

Yes, because Clinton is clearly running around shooting at campaign offices because she's bored.

Don't look at me for double-standards. I've condemned political violence and I stand by that.

To this point, I've not seen you do that. In fact, you were lauding the Nevada violence as the way change happens.

So I guess it is okay with you if people take potshots at Sanders' office, right?

I mean, hey, it is just someone interested in making change happen, right?

Unless of course, you have a double standard.

Also and how about all this BLM Hillary backers rioting around; it wasn't as bad as one night for Bernie supporters?

For the record I don't condone outright violence, but civil disobedience is another thing.

That's footage of some idiot misquoting Clinton.

Her remarks on "superpredators" never mentioned anything about black people.

Well gee the Black Lives Matter riots were much, much, much worse than what took place in Nevada last night. Yet you think Bernie should be out because of it, yet had said nothing on Hillary for those riots.

What? That makes no sense at all.

First, Black Lives Matter is a protest movement which did not start because of Hillary Clinton. It's goal is not to support her or her campaign nor does she have any role in its management or operations. She does share some of its goals. For that matter, so does Bernie Sanders and a lot of other people including me though I'm not a supporter of it as I don't like its "rush to judgement" methods. Hillary Clinton has not been involved in any rioting nor have riots broken out at her events. Bernie Sanders doesn't have anything to do with the group either beyond supporting some of what they want. Neither has any particular responsibility for BLM's activities or for the rioters who have sometimes crashed BLM events.

Anyway, if this is the best you can do, I suggest you cut your losses and go home.

The article in my link above (if you bothered to read it) clearly states ways Clinton indirectly contributed to inciting those dangerous BLM riots, yet you turn a blind eye to the havoc your fellow Clinton supporters caused and instead you condemn Bernie for about the exact indirect reason but with lesser damage during the Nevada convention. It's painfully obvious, and if you lose even more credibility it would be easier to just change your forum name in the long run.

The article says nothing about Clinton inciting any riots. I don't know what you are looking at but it wasn't what you posted. Maybe YOU should try reading the articles you post.
