This country hasn't had a legitimate war since James K Polk. |

Skipping leg day is the equivalent of a woman having an abortion. You're ashamed of it, and it was probably unnecessary. #MAGA #wallsnotwars | |

Rather contradictory to be spouting social contract rhetoric and collectivist nonsense on a conservative only board. Edited by estonianman, May 27 2016, 03:53 PM.

If this country had a legitimate reason for a draft, it wouldn't be nessecary. |

Yes. Sacrificing yourself for the common good, which is just another way of saying "service to ones country" is absolutely collectivist. |

On a side note - it's been shown that a volunteer military is far more effective. Seems that even in government wars, when people do it willingly it is ideal. |

No, it's a sense of personal choice and selfless honor to serve your country, being a warrior was and is one of the expectations for a man in time of need for his country. You're not sacrificing yourself for the common good, you're exercising your sense of duty and honor. There is also no "government" wars, since we have no "individual citizen" wars...rather silly point to make. How in HELL could someone with your philosophy ever pass American History in high school?
