Its a live show and stuff happens when you're live.

On the other hand this one would be a screw up that would be hard to pull off by accident.

You have a sound board and an operator and and maybe someone else that runs the tape. Let's pretend that is the case. There are microphones in front of those singers. The levels were set earlier in a sound check. These inputs are sitting on the board and labeled, as are the pots for any number of taped or other inputs which likely sit in the same pots show after show after show.

So now instead of punching up the mics which you have already taken the time to set, label and tie together to the output you take to tape instead and punch up an entirely different input.

You either have found the worlds most incompetent mixer or someone was putting into that system a little input of their own.

Yeah but who do we sue? :dunno:

Ummm... no one?

MLB Director of Inclusion Billy Bean issued a statement saying it was a technical error.

On another note, Padres CEO has requested to meet with the Chorus and my guess is they will be given another opportunity sometime later this season.

Why do gay leftists have to ruin everything? In a normal time, they would all be in a mental hospital.

Your hate and desire to round up and put into institutions normal everyday citizens is a frightening glimpse into that dark soul and damaged mind you carry so proudly.

I've said it before and I stand by it still, in another time and place you would be a very dangerous person.

Technical error? I would love to hear what.

This was a human action.

It does seem like it would be a difficult "accident" to have occur. And if it were intentional, it smacks of animus.

You'd have to have an awful lot of animus to want to lose your job for this.

The Padres have disciplined an employee over this but no one - except an outside contractor who was invovled and got terminated - has been fired. I guarantee that if the Padres had the slightest suspicion this was intentional, they would have done more than discipline the person responsible. There is no way you'd continue to let some loose cannon continue to run your PA system causing the team deep embarrassment.

I don't know why it is so hard to believe that someone accidentally played the wrong version of a song. Is there some innate need we all have to see evil, injustice and malice everywhere?

Out of curiosity, do you go to any of those Hollywood parties that Elijah Wood talked about?

It should be noted that the Padres were actually the first pro team of any sport to actually host an LGBT night. First one was back in 2001.

When MLB hired Billy Bean to head up the inclusion department, the Padres were the first ML team to request Bean meet with the players and staff.

The Padres are already working with the Chorus to schedule another performance this season.

In no way was there any homophobia coming from the Padres organization. I could see why some would get upset with fan comments "You Sing Like A Girl", but really had this been a non gay male chorus or even a lone standing male singer the same comments would of probably been heard. Knowing the fans in Philly for example, I can only imagine the reaction had it happened here.

Trump needs to focus more so on the male vote. He should have nationalized the Boy Scouts when they decided to admit girls.

Presumably so do the Padres and Major League Baseball. Are the Padres lying to protect an employee who maliciously embarrassed them in front of the entire planet? That seems unlikely. Possible but unlikely. Seems more likely they'd want him immediately fired.

I'm no expert on audio systems but playing the wrong song doesn't seem like a particularly inexplicable mistake. Playing a version of a song with lyrics instead of one without lyrics.

It appears the Padres went out of their way here to be inclusive and hold a "Pride Night," an event which has gone off without incident in the past. They should be congratulated for that.

Instead, people are demanding they be investigated for a hate crime because of what appears to be a simple glitch.
