Sorry, but we are a Republic, I'm a Republican, labels like "liberal", "statist", "conservative", "right winger" really don't apply to me. I believe that our form of government is a model for democratic values. I'm not a fan of Marx,Trotsky, or Lenin...sooooo...I realize you're speaking from an academic perspective, but really, can we move into the real world...especially since you say you're married to a "statist"

Then why are you promoting collectivism, complaining about labor exploitation and critiquing surplus value? All Marxist concepts.
