I'm talking to you from a cruise ship. Last night at the casino bar, I had a good conversation with a middle aged Cuban American gentleman who told me that he was a former political prisoner inside one of Castro's jails. His crime? When he was fifteen years old in Cuba, his parents had within their home an american flag tucked inside a bedroom drawer. He took the flag to the roof of his parents home and ran it up a flag staff that hadn't been used at all for quite some time. This was just a young boy amusing himself by flying a flag he had discovered one day. A few hours later, the police arrived at his home and arrested the boy after he had been identified by a looker on. Despite the pleas from his parents for mercy and understanding by the authorities, he was sentenced to a reeducation facility for violating the spirit of Castro's revolution with an act of treason. Ten years later, he was released after it was determined that he had been rehabilitated. It is very possible that if he had been older at the time of his arrest, he would have been executed for his "crime." I asked him if he was planning any cruises to Cuba now that the cruise lines are going there and he quickly answered with a flat out no. |

Probably true. It's a different political world now. One where that same action would be far less likely to happen as it did in those days. |

No not probably true, left wing troll. Why would he fabricate such a story? You're a fabrication. Some of your amigos here have insisted that there were never any political prisoners in Castro's jails all along. You need to cruise to Castro's paradise with a few of your republican pals along also knowing how much you admire the place. |
