Webroot, anyone use it, ever try it out? Gets a good review from PC magazine.

I have always used the Comcast provided Norton. Just picked up a new machine that gives me Mcafee for 30 days. My bank gives it's customers Webroot and was wondering about it.

Probably one of the best. Small memory footprint with a super fast scan.

I've been using it for several years.

Yep, webroot is pretty good.

There is nothing wrong with the Norton from Comcast either. Bigger footprint than Webroot though.

Here is the thing on that machine with the free McAfee (or Norton), make sure you download and use the tools that either company has to fully remove their anti-virus before installing any other anti-virus. Both those products really bury themselves into your machine and the standard uninstall from both McAfee and Norton do not fully remove them.

Having two anti-virus packages on one machine can cause issues.

People sleep peacefully in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would do them harm.

Many issues. And unless you remove any trace of either the new install will be in conflict always.
